The bulbs were from

but there are cheaper ones. Just make sure you put them in he right way round, they have a +/-

Really a +/-, not looked at the cerb yet, is it easy to tell which way to put them in?The bulbs were from

The bulbs look fantastic, love it. Unfortunately after fitting a dodgy TVR cig. lighter and having a short in the wireing i wouldnt have the confidence to try that. The short ended up costing £5,000.
Needed a complete new loom, but did manage to get the insurance to pay in the end after many heated discussions. Anyway, those blue bulbs really look the dogs.

bloody hell, £5k
Right, now I have some trouble:
the dash is now off the car and I'm looking at some bulbs whch don't appear to be any listed above.
I have searched around and they appear to be 509T or 286 bulbs so I've bought both (pending delivery) Can anyone confirm this before I cause damage... it's an 02 Sp 6 if that helps.
Once I have fitted them and know what it takes I'll post the results as it appears there may be different layouts. I'll alsohave loads of spare bulbs so lt me know if anyone wants some.

Good thread also bought four from the site linked above on E bay they arrived today the three interior ones went in no problem and are fantastic compared to the old candle in a brown bottle items, however on removing boot light it is the next size up in festoon bulb, a little careful bending of the bracket made it a fit so there is also white light in the boot ..... result, useful upgrade.
I didn't do the boot because mine doesn't work anyway
I also heard that it's difficult to tell if the boot one goes out and can cause flat batteries.
I received the other dash bulbs today and they're the wrong size, I'll updaate a full list of dash bulbs for my spec car when I've fitted them all and they work.

Tom, I would take a spare set of you if they are available, our speed six Cerbs are of similar age 2002/2003 so here's hoping the bulbs are the same!!.
I just fitted the interior ones and they are a big improvement and only took me 5 mins....I was expecting wires to be broken and fingers to be bleeding but no!! either it IS a easy job to change the bulbs or I am getting better at DIY.....

While we are talking about instruments, I would like to clean the inside of the glass on my speedo. Does the ali rim that holds the glass in just unscrew?
No, it won't unscrew because of the trip reset switch thing not sure of the technical name. I don't think they come apart very easily.natben - not probem, I am "Still" waiting for them apparetly they were UK based but they've not turned up yet. are you going to the Essex meet on Thursday?

Sorry Tom, bit of a distance issue re the Essex meet.Im in Edinburgh, now I'm just waiting for the cover of darkness so I can see how well those interior LEDs are working.
I would love a set of dash bulbs if you get any spare let me know and I can sort out payment to you.

right then, here it is finished:
Not particularly impressed with the Rev counter or speedo bulbs, I think they need to be wide andled but they're so small I don't think you can get them in wide.
So here's what you need to redo my particular Cerb dash (2002 Speed Six) (I've put the links only for the size bulbs, not necessarily the seller):
1 x 501 (for temp) - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/360437200914
2 x 286 (for Tacho and Speedo) - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190647786832
2 x 233 (for Clock and Petrol) - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/350442871534
If you want the baloon bulbs for the reading lights and boot too then:

Thanks to dean_ratpac and motorsportrescue for previous illustrations and links on bulb sizes/fitments.
