I'm being a little lazy by asking this on a forum, but this is a far more enlightening way to aquire information I find.

What's the difference between the two?

Has the LW now replaced the standard 4.5?

Which, in your opinion, is best to go for? taking into consideration that I would also look into a RR conversion after.

Thanks in advance for any info/thoughts.

Search the forum first - this has been covered before.

Yes, LW replaced the 4.5 in about 2000, and I believe all models are now built to the same spec. Changes were:
- revised front lights.
- revised roofline, forward rollcage bar flattened (better visibility) and sun visors deleted.
- body coloured A pillars and rear screen surround.
- lightweight bonnet, doors and boot(?) panels.
- new Tuscan style seats.

Generic advice is to go for the latest example you can find, so by definition LWs are generally likely to be a better proposition. As ever though, look at and drive lots and buy the best you see (which could end up being an earlier model).

LW's are 40kgs lighter with the lighter panels being as Jeremey specified. Though the brand new Cerberas now have a fully blended front light arrangement rather than the replacement pods.

RR conversion adds another 30bhp taking it to 450 (Quoted).

Edited as Jools came in with vastly superior knowledge!

I put a letter into Sprint about cerbie power outputs, but essentially RR gives about 50 bhp extra taking it from 340-350 to almost 400bhp actual. light blue touch paper and retire to safe distance .. waaaaaayyyyheeeeeeeeyyyy!!
