Headlight upgrade - the deed is done.

For all those people with ‘should I/shouldn’t I’ headlight debate, here is some further info. (I know its all a very personal decision)…..
I had the headlight conversion (front and rear) carried out by Team Proactive (ex. Team Central) in December last year. I am very very happy with the new look (sorry all you traditionalists!).

Thought long and hard about which look to go for – or even whether to change from the original (which I really liked also), and opted for the non-faired option. Reasons for this (it is afterall a very personal choice) were:
1. Decided against full-faired lights as didn’t like it as much as I thought when I saw them for real (rather than on websites) – spend months at dealers, looking at other car and on the web – but only took 5 mins. when I saw the options in the flesh at Team Proactive!
2. Car didn’t need a full front-end respray in the end (low ratio of stone chips to original paint, for the average TVR!)– so seemed a waste of money (at the moment) to do this simply to get the faired in look. May do it when the car needs a front-end tidy up.
3. I know I’m in the minority, but I like the pods – and also its very easy to revert to the original look if I or a future owner of the car want to change it back to the originals.
4. Rears – no decision needed, just wanted to get rid of the Fiesta look!
Only debate now is whether to go the whole hog and get the spiders fitted as well – but I really do like my 16”’s!!

Tommo, the traditional 'round eyed' look including the fester rears and 16' rims looks excellent - but those pictures of yours look fabulous ! 
IMHO the spiders really would top off your 2003 look.
Is it too cheeky to ask what the job costs ? (perhaps you could email me if you'd rather not post ??) Considering a similar approach in spring finances permitting...

Nice pics Tommo. Car looks great, in fact its almost identical mine (except mines in Tahiti Blue). Same colour scheme interior though.
My cars just been mashed in an accident and I'm hoping the factory will give me the brand new "faired-in" version of the lights. Your pics give me a good idea about what the car will look like when its finished.... and I like it !

Well spotted! Yes, bought the car in November. First jobs were full 12 month service, health check by HHC & Team Proactive and light conversions.

Cheers, the job cost around 1.2k front and back & white indicators + some bits and pieces I had done by Team Proactive at the same time. Even got a lovely Noddy courtesy car to drive around in for 2 weeks!!

I had my lights done at Team Proactive as well. Went for the fully intergrated look (personal choice) Had some problems with the paint work but Team Proactive sorted the problem without any hassel. I would strongly reccommend them for their excellent work and good prices.
Have you seen the Afterburners by Zertec?? That may be another option for the rears.
