Indeed BossCerbera's motor is a lovely one-off example, although i do not like those exhausts

If you look at the Boss Cerbera from above, you can see the line carried through from the air intakes to the exhausts. Big in to big out. It's very TVR, on steroids. The Tuscan carries its bonnet bulge through to the boot - the Sagaris is another car that looks great from above.

I wasn't sure about the tailpipes myself when I saw them but they've grown on me - and the crowds in Casino Square went wild for it last week (upstaged a Veyron!). I just did 3,000 hard miles in a week in this car - for something so highly strung, I'm even more impressed by it.

So... this auction is the last chance to get a brand new 4.5...

IMHO the white one is not a patch on yours. But then again Reflex Charcoal

Pictures don't do the Boss justice. It looks even more awesome in the flesh and the sound is just plain evil.

My 10pence worth............

I'm not particularly excited about the so called last Cerbera that is being auctioned off. To me it is nothing special at all. It's practically a bog standard 4.5 in a pretty bland colour combo IMHO.

The Last Cerbera from the factory was done a while back with the "BossCerb", which is a special one off example that rightly stakes a claim for being the ultimate Cerb.........it is a very special car. For TVR to now come forward with another "last ever" Cerb, albeit a very standard one is just a bit of marketing hype.......what was the reason for it? Is this where all of the scarce spare parts went?

Just my thoughts

Jules.

I'm surprised so little has been asked of the "double overhead cams with finger followers". Either its a glaring and grave misprint or this is indeed a very special car indeed. But then 420hp output is 'standard' so very confusing. It seems who ever wrote the article either didn't know anything about Cerberas or didn't highlight the engine was special. I'm sure its a typo thou..........

Cerbies and Chims made TVR what they are today. Two great cars, good value for the money and both with a nice kick in the arse when you put your foot down. (not to mention the wonderful growl from the V8 engines !)

Too bad TVR has lost their way .... They still make some nice cars, but not one that I would want.

You do of course mean the Griffith and not the chubby and compromised Chimp.

Absolutely ... I forgot the Griff. You will have to probably admit that it was the successful sales of the Chim that made TVR profitable ...and hey... I had a chubby Chim (not Chimp). Great car and wasn't compromised at all if you didn't want to do track days. After all, I needed power steering so my wife could drive it.

Apart from some confusion over the valve train arrangement there are some other difference in the spec., 255 x 35 front tyres, adjustable pedal box and electric power steering. Would those tyres fit or is it a typo?

Shame it's gone, i think TVR must always stay slightly away from the main stream and offer basic but fast cars and be cheaper than porsche

The spec's full of errors. If the brochure accuracy is anything like that of the web site it will be a shame.

White seems to be very much the colour of the moment and I have to say it looks superb on the Cerb, just fantastic!

I just got this message;

Your account is still being processed. For security purposes, you will be sent an activation code in the post. When you receive it, you should return to this website to complete your registration.

Just have to wait then I guess

Is the reserve price set at a value that will pay for the factory relocation costs?
And was the car cobled together from some parts left around the factory?

Okay, sorry to be negative. It does look good and it's been good PR. TVR's always turn my head and sound brilliant, just hope that instead of focussing on a new fibreglass shell and interior for next years motor show (new model) they sink their resources into durability of the drivetrain.
Also think the sag look good too.

For the little exposure I've had to the car in question, I have to admit that it did seem to be very well put together.

Firstly for context I am a big fan of Cerbs, love mine, but last Cerb...hmmm

Terry S in my region was supposedly the owner of 'the last Cerb' as reported in TVRCC Sprint, which is a black with black leather and carbon fibre interior and was built specifically for NS as the last Cerb but who then allowed it to be sold to him as the last. Not sure how he feels about this new 'last Cerb' (not had chance to ask him), but makes me wonder how many more 'lasts' we can look forward to but I know how I would feel if I'd bought it only to be 'up-lasted'.

And whilst I agree that white is the in colour, this car isn't white, it's magnolia, and I sure as hell will not paint my house with it so why in gods name paint a beautiful car like a Cerb with it? The colour is bland and doesn't do anything to either accentuate the curves of the car (it kills most reflections, that's why it's used to hide blemishes in house walls) or imply any element of being classy. The guy on the factory tour seemed a bit taken aback when I said so but to my mind, if it was chosen by NS what does it say about his taste?

Saw this car at both the dealers Cicley and the factory and it does look very nice in white, much better in the flesh

I saw it at Cicely's open day, and did not like the pearlescent cream colour much, which shows it is all a matter of taste!

The bright red Tuscan 2 Convertible was much prettier!

Don't get me wrong, I love the look of the Cerby - one of the few cars where bright yellow is one of the best colours. Had having driven a 4.5, cannot deny it is quick. Turning circle might be an embarrassment when driving/parking in town though?

Purely personal opinion but.....

Is this really worth a premium over other cerbs? The colour does not make the most of the car, and looks a bit odd for such a stunning car.

And I couldn't help but laugh at the "(estimated)" figures on everything from acceleration, to top speed to BHP/Torque. If it is such a one off maybe they could rolling road it before the auction starts.

And the one who guesses closest wins the car...............

Precisely. This black car is the 'last Cerbera' in my book. It was the last chassis number.

Mine was just last to leave the gate... (there was one other Reflex Charcoal car that went out between Terry's car and mine).

The last registered is a Spectraflair Silver car that was/is in Northern Ireland.

If anyone is mug enough to bid, just make sure you get confirmation that they have an adequate supply of spares, in the unlikely event that the car should break down or require any warranty repairs such as a new engine.
And aresholes to you too...
