How to change a clutch on a Cerbera

Make sure you replace the clutch pilot/spigot bearing
Also make sure you have a supply of shims so you can re-shim the gearbox input shaft
Otherwise you shouldn't be surprised if this happens

Thanks Paul - that looks most unfortunate. Also make sure you have a supply of shims so you can re-shim the gearbox input shaft

It’s never straightforward :-( but many thanks for chaps like yourself who share their experiences (especially for novices), so we can avoid these issues.
I’m finding first gear very notchy to engage, I first suspected the slave cylinder, but no sign of any leaks. So it was suggested that there may be some drag (intermediate plate against flywheel), and perhaps one of the star lock washers has come adrift.
Apparently, if I put the car up on a lift and engage first gear (engine running), the rear wheels will jolt and/or move a little, if this is indeed my issue.
Here's a revised link using the 'Way Back Machine" as the websites themselves are now dead.

I've put a lot of the Cerbera stuff up again as much seemed to have gone

This video was uploaded about 12 hours after I'd finished!! Shame it wasn't about 2 weeks earlier!

Hopefully useful to anyone else finding this thread when they come to do their clutch.

Just so I don’t kick myself later, çan someone please advise me, does the earth strap attach by the gearbox bolt to the bracket where it mounts onto the gear box body, or through the bolts on the gearbox mounting to chassis. Either look logical to me, and the car has been in bits for nearly five years so I’ve long forgotten. TIA
