Any pic with a Cerb in is a candidate for 'best pic', Simon.

Interesting to hear your story.

Did you have any probs removing the Nitrons ?
(I had to saw through the lower anchor bolt with a Dremel bangheadlaugh )
They actually come off surprisingly easily, the springs had rusted and then one had broken, eventually causing the Nitron shock to break too. I possibly would have got the Nitrons rebuilt again, especially in light of recent information about re-valving them for better compliance. I had read about the Bilsteins developed by Ben Lang at TVR in the early 2000s so thought I'd give them a go. They are non-adjustable, but that no longer really worries me (I haven't adjusted the Nitrons for about 15 years smile)

Only been for a brief drive round some local roads so far, but initial impressions are much less 'crashy' than the Nitrons (which to be fair were well overdue a service).

I was amazed at how my orginal Bilsteins did such a good job of taking care of the large variation of situations they had to react to for 60K eekyikes

When I did mine, on the fronts I found it easy to jam a large screwdriver under the nut to allow the bolt to undo as I couldn't get a spanner or socket in

I used this too. Removing the arm is probably best though and I would have done that had the screwdriver trick not worked.

Hi Declan,

Did Andy install the braided pipe to the Fuel Rail or was it you ?

I am planning to use 'some' under my bonnet and was interested in size
(as I believe that pipe size difference can be a pita ).

If that Tuscan is the one I think it is, it was up for sale at a northern specialist for months and months (perhaps even over a year) until it sold recently. I would have though that in such a stunning colour it would have been snapped up sooner.
