Got my pearl rosso red cerbera 4.5 today and wanted to describe how I felt driving it all day!! Stopped at a garage to fill up and two people on the forecourt came up and started to ask about the car - both said it looked fantastic!!

I know its early days and maybe I will not be so enthusiastic after a couple of months.. but what a car...keep looking in the garage to make sure its still there and i`m not dreaming - Lovely Christmas present!!

A TVR is the only car in the world that could turn a Man into a giggling wreck!

I had three people at a petrol station talk to me about my car the day I bought it. Guess it's due for a clean again now

funny thing is, it's always openly complimentary, whereas with other marques such as ferrari, porsche, etc. it's a discreet checking out or obvious resentment!

when I picked mine up I was in absolute awe of it for about 4 months, Oh that's how long I have had it, can't have worn of yet then.

Well done, the best experience I have had was at a garage when 3 kids said that bloke must work for Gran Tarismo as his car is in the game!!!!!

Well done and I hope you have many fun Christmas days to come.

Neal - welcome to 4.5 ownership, you will not regret it. You bought the one at Adrian Blyth then - excellent value looks superb and not many miles - hope you are using it everyday - I'd like to see more on the road - I can drive 300 miles in a day in mine and not see another TVR let alone a cerby!!! Give a hoot if you see the purple ROK3T!!!!

By the way read the other thread 'cerbera reliability' with caution. There are some good points made but treat your car well and it will look after you (my experience anyway!) - enjoy!

I`m going to be using it everyday from Woking to Heathrow and everywhere else I can go as well!!

Thanks for the advice - same as given by Adrian Blyth and David from the garage in Compton -

So what Neal?
You are still here in front of your computer? Why not going for a drive?
As far as I am concerned, from the moment I will own a Cerbie I guess I won't be spending so much time in the Gassing Station anymore!

I don't know why you say this about the Porsches? my 996 (full GT3 kit, lowered race exhaust etc) gets alot of attention from people and so far no one has been abusive

Has anyone here had a bad experience

my old Cerbera SS would scare the life out of anyone within 50 yrds on start up(sports exhaust and de-catted)

Hope you're having fun Neal!

Picked up my 4.5LW yesterday and haven't stopped grinning yet

If anyone is in doubt, let me tell you that the cars are AWESOME. Mine feels so solidly planted on the road with rocketship acceleration and brick-wall like retardation, it just inspires confidence. Scariest thing is the velocities that can be achieved without realising

Anyway, I'm off to amaze myself some more ....... ho ho ho, he he he, ha ha ha

Merry Christmas and happy motoring to you all

Yes, Lee. I have. Having a TVR and a Porsche at the same time lets me compare how others react to them. And I have to say whilst both recieve complimentary looks..the TVR gets more as fewer people know what it is..and my Porsche gets more envious abusive comments.

Forget them they're not worth it - is my view...

Oh..and to all the new Cerbera owners - ENJOY!

Well done and congrats - where did you get your car from in the end? (Love the number plate!!)

You`re right about the speed - I had this dream yesterday when coming home -thought I was doing about 80 and looked at the clock and was doing 120 - scary stuff - still keep looking in the garage to make sure its still there - down to twice a day now - be able to come off the tablets soon!!!

By the way a very Happy Christmas and TVR new year to all Pistonheads gassers - I have only been a TVR owner since August but have loved every minute of it and cannot wait for next spring/summer.

Special thanks to Petrol Ted for a brilliant site !!

Please keep this board posted with you experiences of ya 4.5L Cerb ...

I am thinking of upgarding my Chim this year to a Cerb, but all this talk of bad reliability and BIG service costs has realy put me off.

Glad to see the initial impressions are good though, ya lucky bugger
