I have two sets of extractors that I hardly ever use. When they snap they turn a nightmare situation into an impossible one!

Extractors do work. I'd say I've had about as much success as failure as long as you can get a good centre dot and a good hss drill you can use them. Generally some applied heat makes them better.

My method would have been Dremel through the spacer then heat and mole grips.

If not I have three spare hubs.

Just drill the head off the bolt, dead easy with a hex cap. Then take the stub out with mole grips when the caliper is out of the way.

I'm pretty sure this is what I did in the end!

I think I remember that the bolt was either slightly bent or very corroded within the caliper.

Before drilling it off, try hammering in a torx bit into the Allen head. I found this worked a treat and saved a bit of messing around.
