I,m taking the cerby hill climbing and sprinting this year was wondering if any body has or knows how to fit a four point racing harness into one of these cars without having to butcher the interior?Any thoughts would be welcomed.

Cerby - the mounting points are already there behind the rear seats but I would get them professionally fitted (my dealer did mine and I think it took them about 2 hours to do 2 harnesses). Where you sprinting?

It's an easy enough job. You need to replace come of the existing seatbelt mounting bolts with ring ended bolts (the harness then clips to the ring). Make sure that you get the longer bolts designed to go through GRP. The ones that come with the harness are for using in steel cars (steel is thinner than the GRP used by TVR, so you need long bolts to securely anchor the harness). Replace the current setbelt bolts at both sides of the front seat, and the top mounting for the rear seatbelt (the one on the rear shelf). Then clip the 2 parts of the lap strap for the harness to the floor mounts, and clip the shoulder straps to the mounting point on the rear shelf. You'll need the type of harness where the shoulder straps join into one behind the seat, as there will only be one mount available for both straps. James

Cerby, if you are based in the Essex area, try Shephard Racing in Colchester. He runs various race cars from there & looks after my Chimp, nothing but praise for the guy & certainly very competitive on price.

There are various sprint dates at Weathersfield: 16 April 7 May 28 May 27 August I think this covers various sprint championships (e.g. ACSMC, TVRCC, etc.)
