Ive read that there is a front splitter on the Cerbera that aids ariflow to the radiator and prevents high speed lift. I dont appear to have this on mine, can someone please post up a piccie or two of this and let me know where i can get one?

Dont think thats the front splitter he is thinking about, that in fact would give you lift but stops the air rush through the engine and therefore stopping the bonnet going airborne? Surly a front splitter as any other car that would have them are on the very front of the car were the bumper would be? On race cars they are adjustable to give you more or less downforce?? There is a lot of links on the above picture even to the extent on which way around it goes?? I had mine the other war around and in that way would give you some downforce and sure does stop the bonnet flying away but also catches on anything less than three inches off the ground.

Yep, it was established that this is the correct way round.

Nope, this is the splitter they all have - anything else is aftermarket and rare

A friend of mine who worked in F1 for years reckoned it is of no aerodynamic benefit to the car.

In order for it to be of benefit the floor of the car would need to be completely flat (like the under-side of an F1 car, etc).

Something to do with the aerodynamic equivalent of a centre of gravity.

Here's mine, apparently off a racing Cerb?? I'm wondering if its a Tuscan racer mould modified to fit a Cerb. CarbonAl makes 'em. Doubt it makes much difference drive wise, as said its not close enough to the road for ground effect but I think it looks cool

so is that the right or the wrong way in the picture?

Well the bottom of the car is reasonably smooth as most of the stuff is hidden away in the tunnel.
I think the spoiler is just there the reduce, not stop, the rush of air into the under bonnet area, thus reducing bonnet lift, maybe add a little stability?

This "splitter" has nothing to with downforce. Its to direct air flow away from the engine bay to stop the bonnet lifting.

The one you have boosted is used on Johny W's race cerb. Not sure its big enough to help that much aerodynamicly. Must do somthing though and looks good.

Any chance you could post the dimensions of that.

I'd like to make one and see if it does actually help the bonnet stop lifting.

I guess by that you don’t have one on the car? – It would have started life with one, you should have the rivet (or self tapper?) holes left to take a measurement from.

Hi All

I have a couple of fine gauge stainless steel ones left if anyone is interested.

I'm not sure how far the plate goes out beyond the outer holes and it's not possible to tell from the pictures.

How wide is it overall?
