Gallardo owners?

Okey very interesting comments...i honestly thought they were 500bhp ?
I really like the car, but when i followed one down a B road at 60-70 mph I was suprised how much road it needed in corners, compared to my old 993.
The car has more drama than a 996TT....
yeah it has 500BHP, the 360 has 400...
Honestly, I think the driver needed more road.. To me the car was lazer sharp.

clubsport, it could be the driver that was using the road rather than the car needing it?
My thoughts exactly... Richie, see you have the 996 TT cab on order... please ditch it... its terrible...
Wobbly, brakes cannot cope... cannot brake in a straight line.. not planted.. I could go on...
I was so happy to get back in the Modena.... No offence ment, but it was the worst car I have driven in a long time... (but very quick)
The 996 TT is ruined in that variant..

okey,
i have not taken up my order on the car so, im letting it drift off into the ether.
Gallardo is looking like the next choice.
Need a decent test drive though as pootling around Kensington isnt going to impress upon me the dynamic abilities of the car.
thank God for that. !!!!!
Get your self to Mira though Lambo London and after that ask for an extended drive... if you get no where let me know and I will ask my pal.. I was impressed with the car.. it would kill any car with any driver on any given road.
Still on the question of a daily driver...
One thing I should say it the attention the car gets can get tiring. I'm not used to being stared at wherever I go, but that's life in this thing. Sometimes I think a Porsche would be nice and anonymous. Of course, at other times the attention is fun, particulary talking to fellow enthusiasts wherever I stop. The car feels more "special" than seems right for a daily driver - but maybe that's just me. BTW, see my pics on LamborghiniTalk link below for how a Gallardo looks in the Australian landscape.

Okey, other car is AMG C32. Previous cars are BMWs. No other exotics in my history, so can't compare my impression vs 360 etc.
I haven't had the car at such high speed as you, but I will say it does shrink on a winding road. Needs the Pirellis warmed up, but once this is done it just sticks like mad. The sensation of putting on power early in the corner is amazing - the AWD is well sorted. Someone spent a lot of time getting this right.

Speaking of Mira, it reminds me that my first taste of the Gallardo was on a test track (well, a race track actually - Calder in Melbourne - in October last year). I guess LL are doing the same thing with their prospective customers by giving them a drive away from traffic where they can give the cars a decent serve?
We had to wear a helmet - which didn't leave much headroom in my case. Got 2 or 3 laps each only from memory with a "helper" in the passenger seat. Hardly enough time to form much impression, anyway. Hope you guys do better.

Nope he's not Mhh
As one of his many driving buddies, I can vouch for Okey: He is INSANE and has a racing/competition license to boot !!!
I am insane too but Okey's level of insanity knows no limits. I had to tune my 550 to deal with the power I had to chuck down to keep in touch. Just don't race him ...... ever !!! Unless you are prepared to do 160+

That was me in the red 550 matey (short, stocky geezer). We spoke very briefly about TVRs and Raris. Okey was the 6ft 6in geezer in the red 360. You know the one that was zig-zagging across the roads and hit 90mph in Central London.
We'll all have to meet up again. It was fun ! I remember following you in my 550 thinking 'where on earth is he getting that traction from in that Chim'. I am the sane one !

Yeah
We all thought that it was cos of his decatted, tubied 355. But, nope, it was cos he was doing 30 in a 40 zone going through those tunnels. Plod said, he should have driven nearer to the speed limit.
First I've heard of someone getting pulled for driving below the speed limit. We must do another burn, that one was legendary !!! The noise ..... the speed ..... the fried clutch smell .....going through those tunnels.

Sorry Ramasys - 'twas you who was the loony fast driver. Seemed to me the Chim was like a pace car to youy guys
Anyway, I now have something that looks suitably exotic and with the recent new exhaust it sounds pretty good too so I'm suitably equipped for some fun. I'll think about dates.....
