Some people are starting to sell stuff in case commie Corbyn wins. May is having a disastrous campaign and red Labour are closing the gap alarmingly fast. If the Islington communists get into Number 10, they are going to tax the f*ck out of anyone even remotely wealthy and roll over for EU Brexit negotiations. There is a tense month ahead.

I sympathise with anyone who has bought in recently at these silly prices. Just cant see the justification in the prices for a regular production, large volume, F1 gearbox car

You're right, it's a massive worry and a situation which makes me very angry...... Furthermore, it seems Corbyn is promising everything short of the earth and the stupid, scrounging, work shy population of Britain will believe him - We've seen things go disastrously wrong once already with Brexit, I fear it's going to happen yet again. My wife and I are already paying six figures a year in tax, we have no kids and private health care - So why the F**K should we pay more!

Because you obviously can. Middle England is always the one to pick up the bill regardless

They are all as bad as each other but after the Brexit debacle surely labour cannot win a general election. Mind you regardless of who gets in I wouldn't of wanted to pay £100k for any F430 eek

Not everyone's life evolves around values like yours. I'm sure there are plenty people who are very happy with their purchase at the 100k mark and will continue to enjoy the car for years to come.

Some of us actually enjoy our cars for what they were built for i.e. owning and driving and not purely as superficial trophies or bragging rights on forums.

Agree! (although it does occasionally slightly pain me that I sold my manual 430 to you for, er, not a lot! smile )

I would be far happier paying near 100K for a 430 than a similar amount for a Porsche 964 (I'm told nice examples can fetch that much)

Jesus man - give it up !!

You either focus on ramping up the 650S market or playing down the 430 market - despite the market going against you in both directions !

Get a life seriously - are you like this in real life? Has anyone actually ever met you?

To be fair, the thread is titled 'F430 Market Watch'. The thread is totally about their values rather than how much fun they are.

Ha ha,well maybe you can find a little solace in the fact that, after enjoying the car for 18 months, I sold it on for the same price to someone else on this forum.. just before values rocketed ! :-0

A great car! Glad it's still in the hands of an enthusiast. How many miles has it done now?

Apologies for the late update - Sunday is my only day off these days as I'm working flat out to get my new workshop ready.

I'm not going to bother to repeat what has already been discussed in this thread about the current state of the market as I think it is a fair assessment. Average F430 prices have nominally dropped 0.70% but in reality nothing has really changed. Lets see what happens next week...

No but I have the data on Lambo, Macca, Ferrari and Maserati. I'd be willing to supply the data set for any tipo on a one off basis for anyone looking to do some analysis but am not willing to..

a) give away my algo - it's proprietary and unstable (ie: I really don't want to support it)
b) supply data on an ongoing basis as I have plenty on as it is

Cheers...

What do you make of this for £68,500 + approx £650 in fees?

My thoughts only but if you can afford (or want to spend) 70k and no more then this looks like a great way to get into Ferrari ownership - it will give you the same smiles as one costing 20k more. Nothing there that can't be sorted out over time as far as I can see. Remember you will need to budget around £3,000 a year for insurance, servicing, maintenance, road tax, etc. It may be less, it may be more. Get an independent PPI from a specialist of course.

The recent election hasn't helped matters and I have a couple of clients who have shelved purchasing plans for now on the back of the result. However dealers are reporting a mixed bag with some finding thing difficult and others not so bad. The numbers kind of reflect this with 360 prices falling and 430 prices firming up a touch. The increased uncertainty is not great and I think the rest of 2017 will be difficult.

However, F430 prices have increased a modest 1.11% over the last month but in reality this is not meaningful and prices have been static for some time.
