that is a very nice car... he had pretty much all the options on it if i remember rightly... used to be his daily driver although he seems to use his quattroporte more nowadays.
should be sweet as a nut as he never skimps on anything. our local valeters clean is fully once a week and with all those other toys to play with, it hasn't really been spanked either.
good choice! have fun with it.

he has now bought a new porsche 996 turbo, with carbon fibre interior, and is having it upgraded to 590 bhp by RUF..... his intentions with this car....... to win the Gumball Rally.
If he wants to be on a level playing field and have a chance against a certain GT2 driver, he'll need the longer 6th gear and an additional fuel tank taking the total upto about 150 litres...... Reduced need for fuel stops is a serious issue as demonstrated by a modded BMW diesel doing rather well last year.

And it would help if he was mad.
Frank isn't mad, just a very very very good driver.
Although there can never be a massively strong case for driving at excessive speed on a public road, there is some truth in the fact that a high experienced racing driver will be more alert and faster in their reactions that some old coffin-dodger pootling along at 40mph with their eyes shut.
I think he'll do rather well!

I meant it would help him to keep up with Lonman if he was a bit mad.
He might be an experianced driver but from the footage I have seen if he isnt prepared to undertake / overtake on the hard shoulder and generally take a few risks he will struggle to keep up with the front runners
