the repair bill will undoubtedly be insanely high, but frankly it probably looks a lot worse than it is .... I would imagine that anyone who owns such a car will appreciate that this is the risk you take every time you give it a little power - I'm sure he was gutted though.... as was I on the two occasions someone hit my Chim ......

as far as using it in the winter - what's the point in owning a fast car if you don't use it, sure you become a little more defensive, but they're built to be used .... exactly the same as people who prang their classic whilst racing - that's what it's for....

mind you I speak as someone who practically span my Cerb in my work carpark just now... oops...

Winters the best time to drive a naughty car!

You can lose the back end without having to push too hard! All the better for correcting you technique!!!

Hee hee hee!

Is the Bloke in red the owner.

There is a thread on Ferrarichat which confirms the owners identity but I wont say who it is in case Dazren gives me another b0ll0cking

Sorry, but I read your post last night and your suggestion was speculation. Knowing how rumours spread around the Net I thought I'd be well hacked off if a rumour about a vehicle I owned had taken off through cyberspace, especially if it wasn't my car at all.

Has the owner concerned been heard from on Ferrarichat?

If the owner is the guy at the side of the road in the red jumper, it's not the person suggested in the fchat thread.

Purely speculative, but it looks to me like 2 wide vehicles have been travelling in opposite directions on a relatively narrow leafy lane and collided side to side. Damage is to the offside on the Enzo.

Sad to see, hope the cars in fine fettle in the not too distant.

No need to apologise I have no problem with you editing my post. I was just speculating who it might have been.

I dont know if the owner has been on Fchat but there are some pretty definitive statements about who it is.

Spot on Anjum !

It's good practice unless it catches you and you hit a bus .... lol

Frankly, if a bit of body damage is going to ruin your year I would suggest not owning a very expensive and powerful car.

Obviously you'll be gutted, but it's just part of the game, and it's always a releif when no-one gets hurt. So the driver doesn't particularly have my sympathy (beyond the sympathy anyone would get if they prang their car...) as all he has done is break a bit of bodywork and dent his cool (people love to see someone in such a car run out of talent...). Cars cost money, are insuresd and can be fixed / replaced. People can't.

I've always argued the opposite - beyond the obviously fatal or good as, people mend for free by courtesy of nature, whereas cars cost significant moolah to repair...only ever said in jest of course

that's all fine,,, but what if the owner wasn't actually driving the car at the time... then i'm sure they would be pretty pissed!!!

Good point Turbo, so long as there's no time taken off work ..... so if we could do a trading system or something .... I would rather break my nose and have stitches to a nasty gash in my head than damage the body work on my car ..... sounds like a protection racket.

Ayjay - erm ... well obviously you'd be annoyed if someone else broke your car, but in that case, don't let anyone else drive it ( I don't let uninsured people drive my car, and anyone who can afford to pay can drive on a "you bend it, you mend it" basis. Obviously if it was my car I'd be pi55ed off, but no more than if I did similar damage to my Cerb. However, that's just a risk of owning a nice car, and if it stops you driving in the wet, or provoking the tail out on roundaboutrs etc then you probably have the wrong car !

ah ......

well in that case Ayjay, my point still stands ....

I have been in a number of Anjums exotic toys and have never asked to have a go as if I crashed it I'd be stuck ....

agreed though, bet he's gutted ....

Of course this is all idle speculation.

Is it absolute fact the he hit the bus? Entirely possible that the bus hit him?

Just because he has a flash motor doesn't necesarily make him the nutter.

The new series of London's quadrant maps are now out, dated November 2004.

Are these maps ever proofread before production? because I opened the NE London one and found several mistakes, like at the Hackney Wick terminus it only routes 26, 30 and 388 terminating there, no mention of the 236!
