What would you buy? You dont have to spend it all. It is a toy car for maybe 2 to 4k miles a year. Maintenenance cost need to be bearable ( ie less than 5k pa). It has to be special though obviously less so the less you spend

How practical does it need to be? Intended use? E.g weekends away with the Mrs/mistress, track days, or just general posing?

+1 to that. There are plenty of cars to choose from fitting the budget. Must be practical? Porsche 997. You'd rather get a toy? Ultima GTR. And so on.

later models, my06 onwards are so reliable.... that v10..... amazing torque and revs, the looks...... only thing that sucks is the interior, solid, but does not look special enough even if everything is leather and stitched!

430/355. 430 probably lower running costs and more 'performance' but the 355 wins on the looks.

In orange (what, i'm Dutch, it's our national colour! biggrin) and i'd want the convertible, not the coupe.

That sounds like a job for a fast GT type car rather than an overly sporty one. How about Maserati GT (or soft top version), Ferrari california or scaglietti?

It would need to be a TVR of some sort. And 40K on a Fully Equiped Tripple garage.

I think with the best will in the world you'd struggle with 360, 430 and Gallardo for two weeks of touring, unless you are very friendly with a shipping company who can send your luggage on.

I've managed 5 nights away with a 360 and 430 and 4 nights with a Gallardo, two up with 'extreme' packing. I did do 2 weeks touring around Germany and Austria in an Aston though so would look in that direction. How much are DBS's these days?
