Hi Raceboy,

Yep, not long till Sunday. I'm realy looking forward to it. Should be an excellent day. The fact that Kev has kindly offered to take me for a "Spin" in the 360 has nothing to do with it

Unfortunately I'm not able to make the Saturday as well - Wife & Kid to think about too

Will you be taking the Tiv ???? I 'might' be in the market for one of these and wouldn't mind catching up with someone whos taken the plung. If it's ok with you that is

Kev:
I know we originally planned meeting at 10:30, but didn't you want to make it earlier ???? I apologise if you have already sent me an e-mail with new times etc, but my hotmail account is being a pain-in-the-ass at the moment, and therefore I haven't been able to access it.

Any ideas on a time? I'm flexible so it's what ever suits you best.
Cheers,
Jay.

I will most certainly be in the TVR as it's my only car
Feel free to track me down, I can usually be found munching sarnies out the back of it, parked where ever I fancy on the day as long as I can see the track from the car. Should be parked next to a 'not that discreet' bright orange Cerbera so shouldn't be too hard to find
Usually quite happy to bore anyone senseless about how reliable it is and buy one you only live once type comments.

In true TVR fashion
Yeah, It would be nice to meet up and have a chat about the joys & pitfalls of Tiv ownership. I know I want one, the misses knows I want one, I could just about afford one - I just need convincing

Can we make it 9.15 +/- 10mins? Will leave for the circuit about 10am and beat the Qs.

Cheers

Yeah 9:15ish is fine mate. I'll be there no problems. Early starts are part of the course with the little nipper waking up at 6:00am every morning

Should I send you my mobile number off-line. That way you can get in touch should anything crop up?
Jay.

Excellent day! Enjoyed meeting up with Jay, who's a really nice chap, and went for a good blast along the roads around Donnington. Can recommend these roads- no one in particular, we just followed our noses and they were all good. Also excellent to meet Frosty for the first time. Hi Frosty! Pleased to report the prancing's problem was the sender: he reversed the senders and got an error on the other bank- smart thinking or what? Hope you got it fixed this afternoon as planned G.

Highlight of the race meeting for me were the Euro Boss cars- pukka F1 cars for a £10 ticket is pretty damn good value.

Top day.

Have to agree an excellent day and it was a pleasure to meet you Kevin. Having heard and seen the Tubi I think the temptation is going to be too great now May wait until I change the 355 but the next Prancing Horse will have one fitted without question.

Sorry I didn't see any of you guys, I was a little late getting to the services and all I could see there were some muppets with Lax Bowels Fiat Bravos, we then parked a bit out of the way, on top of the mound next to the Dunlop Bridge, but top day was had by all, the lunch time demos were a bit of a let down, but BOSS is excellent, F1 for £10, just close your eyes and it could have been the European GP of 94

As Kevin has already said it was a truly fantastic day. Not just the race day itself, but for the opportunity to meet fellow PH'eders (Who are all a sound punch of people) and then take a blast in Kev's glorious 360.

I could go on for days, weeks even months trying to explain just how fantastic that car is, but I probably couldn't do it justice. Now I fully understand what you guys mean when you talk about Ferrari Passion. Being a huge fan of Ferraris (especially the 360) this was a dream come true for me - and boy oh boy it didn't disappoint. From the moment it fired up to the moment we stopped it is a memory that will live with me forever.

I remembered that Ninja and Manu said I would enjoy this ride - Little did I know how much of an understatement this was.

This is what was going through my mind at the time:

1: me this is FAST.
2: me what a NOISE.
3: me we can't make that bend.
4: me we just made that bend.
5: me brake..........Oh-my-God we braked. Eye balls out of socket job
6. I WANT ONE, PLEASE CAN I HAVE ONE.
7: And so it went on..........

I'm still shaking even now as I think about it. Not through fear, through pure adrenaline

I was totally blown away by this car. Not just by its sheer dynamics, but for Kevs control over the beast. Both complimented each other brilliantly.

KEV:
You're a star. Thank-you once again for your kind generosity. It was a pleasure to meet you and I hope we can do it again soon.

MANU:
Although we've never met. I still want to shake your hand and thank you for introducing the Tubi to the UK. I've read many many times how good a Ferrari sounds, but nothing prepared me for that. The low-end burble right the way through to the high-end shriek. WHAT A SOUND. When I followed Kev to donington I could feel my insides rumbling away. I fully understand why you guys go tunnel hunting. In fact, I'd say that Kev's car even sounded better than the 360 challenge cars. Would you agree?

NINJA:
I to have already found myself trying to emulate the sounds of Kev's car. Everyone thinks I'm nuts - but they wouldn't understand.

EVERY OTHER FERRARI OWNER:
Fit a Tubi. SIMPLE AS THAT !!!!!

RACEBOY:
Sorry we missed you. We did wait honest, and I did keep an eye out for you. Maybe next time.

Sorry of the longish post. But it had to be done.
Jay.

Jay - didn't I tell you that Kevin would give you a ride that you'd never forget. As I said - he's the consumate performance driver and knows that 360 to within the nearest millimetre.
In fact Dom may well also be contender for Pistonheads World Champion driver too. I haven't sat in his Porker though so.... Ninja's very handy too, and was pretty handy just two weeks after taking delivery of his spider. (but then Ninja's always been "handy" )

It's a shame I couldn't make it but I will definitely try to get to the next FOC event.

Porsche drivers only go fast in a straight line. Soon as the car comes to the bend they stop!!

Manu I do agree with you regarding Kevin's driving after following him the other week. Still looking forward to seeing the vid clips

Bends are the raison d'etre of my Porsche, Mr Blusatin. I think you'd find that I'd have driven off into the sunset if 1) you didn't have twice the bhp; and 2) you didn't have something of mine in the passenger seat that I needed back at some point

Thanks for the thought, Manu - cheque's in the post

I'm still gob-smacked by the whole experience of it all Manu. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect it to be quite sooooooooo good.

Your absolutely right regarding Kev's driving ability. Spot-On. No fuss, No hassle just a bloody good driver who knows both his own & the cars ability. Both of which are staggeringly high

KEV: If there's a spare seat going at the Ferrari F1 team - I'm sticking your name forward mate

Not all of them, as I haven't received all of them! Plus, some w@nkers have tried to hack my server! Bloody bastards. Anyway, my machine is acting like a bit of an ass, and I wanted to make sure its virus clean. So, I have taken it offline and am doing a complete check. Plus I have been busy, but want to remove certain people's Reg No's (ahem, ahem).

And Manu, thanks for letting everyone know why I am losing my eyesight...I was gonna say it was due to being on Pistonheads! I won't let on to your "methods", except that they are clearly a lot more advanced, "nearly the real thing"

Glad to hear it, always makes me feel better, but I still always feel a little bit "different" to everyone else. Kind of like I am really sad???
