Scum.Interesting strategy to target rare cars. Fine until you need a new part that's unique to the model. Ferrari requires copy of registration documents in most cases. Even to list a rare car on 'My Ferrari' the factory will want proof of ownership.
With Instagram, autogespot etc many of the top cars are becoming well known - nearly as good as a fingerprint, and very easy to access.
Above wont stop a thief but the rare LE cars are I imagine increasingly difficult to sell-on.

Telling McNulty he would be remanded in custody pending sentence on November 25, the judge asked him 'Is it a front or rear engine Ferrari?'
Surprised, McNulty hesitated before replying 'I would say the rear, to be honest.'
He knows where it is, but doesn't know what it is. Why did he take it? Stolen to order?Surprised, McNulty hesitated before replying 'I would say the rear, to be honest.'

Well all the publicity seems to be improving the car's value - up from £400k to £500k. Hope the insurance valuation in flexible :-)
How hard must it be to find a car that someone that stupid has hidden?
I mean, come on, if the engine was in the back, the thing would be a bit nose-light :-)
And how come my mobile phone DOES work in a lift?
I think there were 42 RHD UK 550 Barchettas plus 15 to Oz out of 448 produced at least....
