Ade has been far from lucky with his 355, but that's another story

Could not do it, staying with my 911 for now.

I did not get into the 355B, 360 or the 550 but the 355 spider was fantastic.

For me the 911 does everyting, not quite as special as the Ferrari but still fantastic once you get into it.

I am going to treat my 911 to some new springs, dampers and roll bar. Looking at a -20 kit from Porsche. This has been my only real grip of the car so once this is fixed I should be happy.

In the end the overall ability to use as a day to day car won. The car is almost as quick everywhere as a 355 but I get all kinds of other comforts.

You must consider that my run around car is a 1.1 Metro so I do rely on my 911 alot!

When I get a bit more money and space in the garage I would love a 355 spider for special occasions.

To be totally honest, I think that the head has ruled the heart and you've made the right decision.

In my case, the heart always wins and then I spend months regretting it.

I'd love a Ferrari again but know that the Porsche is the sensible option for an everyday car.

Ideally though, I'd have both!

I agree that the best solution would be to have both, but during the wait I considerered that i would miss the raw thrills of the Ferrari more than the polished skills of the Porsche, so I let my heart decide as well and have a less spectacular daily runner for the time being. (and working to earn enough for the ideal solution)

Once you get the itch you're gonna have to scratch it soon.Granted the Porker is a better day to day supercar, but does it make you grin like a maniac every time you fire it up?

The Ferrari will when you finally realize your dream.

Good luck with the Porsche upgrades mate, no doubt will hear of your new prancing horse purchase sooner rather than later!!!!!

Need a bit of advice on my upgrade, looking at the -10 or -30 from porsche. Getting very little help on the Porsche forum though.

Seems the -10 is the best choice, -30 may be too stiff and track day oriented. Looked at aftermarket but that will kill the Porsche war. which I do not want.

-10 is great for the road...-30 is not....the best one to fit is the Bilstein Pss9 kit, this is fully adjustable so you can set it up exactly how you want it...generally available, should be about 2k pounds fitted.

Yes, go for the PSS 9 kit.

if you already feel worried about your PORSCHE warranty, you should better stay away from Ferrari's at all.

Sorry tony I completely lost this thread and your little comment there Yep ive had the worst luck, my bills for my 355 Spider are at about £20,000

However spread over total ownership this is actually less month-by-month than depreciation on my old boxster - hard to believe but true!!!
