are there no reputable Audi indys? like 911 Virgin and JZM for Porsches?
Yes, mine's about to go in to REPerformance in Swindon and that's a 200 miles round trip! Before I bought my R8 it was serviced at QST in Haywards Health and although I've not used them personally, the car's been problem free for the last 3,000 miles/12 months. However I imagine as the R8's aren't Audi's natural bread and butter, they might be fewer and far between.

Yeah i just called again and explained the situation!! I've been treated better when buying a pub meal I could buy a house up north for this dosh!! Lets hope its just coincidence as to be fair I've offered a little lower than screen price but not much and if I can't get a little I will likely pass and continue to wait or buy another make etc
They've had it for sale since July so hopefully they are wanting rid. Romans do a lot of sale or return work so ask if it's a stock car or SOR. They're warranty is their own warranty so you need to bring the car back to them. (atleast that's how it used to be with them)barriejames said:
Thanks for that July is interesting they have refused to budge in price as it started at 68k
Might be testing out a new buyer especially if they think you're dead keen i.e. could they be on this forum?! Sometimes you need to walk away if the deal isn't right - you never know they might come back a few weeks later.
Although no guarantee, I would say winter is not a great time to sell a soft top but it's a better time to buy. Be prepared for them to see out the winter months although dealers don't like cars sitting on their forecourts.

Romans have a very good reputation and sell a lot of high-end cars as I'm sure you know.
Are you not thinking of Romans International in Surrey?http://www.romansofstalbans.co.uk/

Are you not thinking of Romans International in Surrey? They do, however, still appear to have some reasonably high-end stock, and their reviews are encouraging:

68k is almost main dealer s tronic money, reading sold a 2013 s tronic with 15k miles for £69.xK the other week, they steadily discounted it from almost 70k, i've noticed most main dealers knocking a few grand off every few weeks, the black one at leicester has come down 5k.
so far the manual cars haven't attracted a premium (unlike Ferrari's), however most manual cars outside the main dealer network are not moving, so their reluctance to discount is pricing them out of the market IMO, and don't get me started on the private sellers! there was a blue v10 s tronic up for more than main dealer cars with lower mileage.... it didn't sell. Buyers market IMO

I agree about the pricing I do think the v 10 manual wont drop a whole lot more now thoughso far the manual cars haven't attracted a premium (unlike Ferrari's), however most manual cars outside the main dealer network are not moving, so their reluctance to discount is pricing them out of the market IMO, and don't get me started on the private sellers! there was a blue v10 s tronic up for more than main dealer cars with lower mileage.... it didn't sell. Hi I have not seen an s tronic v 10 for even close to that sort of money only the smaller v8s I would have a v10 s tronic but fear that is nudging 80k and where do you stop it is 65k not 68k I hope I didn't make a mistake in my original post

yeah someone said they started at 68k now at 65k, yes the car at Reading Audi for £69.9k was the cheapest decent s tronic i'd seen, especially with such low milage, they obviously decided it sell it... the ones closer to 80k aren't moving and certainly not the ones above 80k.... TH bolers just lopped 5k of one of the two LMX cars they have, though those are more than likely SOR cars, doubt anyones paying that premium for what is really just a badged special edition, not with Gen2 plus's down to £105Hi I have not seen an s tronic v 10 for even close to that sort of money only the smaller v8s I would have a v10 s tronic but fear that is nudging 80k and where do you stop it is 65k not 68k I hope I didn't make a mistake in my original post
two year old no plus Gen 2s are down to close to 90k at main dealers, IMO these look compelling against a high priced Gen1 car, obviously if you want manual then gen 1 is the only way to go, spyders will attracting over £100k though... i think the discounts on new cars are effecting the Gen 2 prices
Great response I have just seen a 2013 s tronic at Audi West London ibis white 5.2 for 67 k so I stand corrected they are slipping a bit. I guess I just need to decide if a manual is the way to go as I read s tronic are massive improvement over r tronic I think a face lift s tronic 3 years newer with lower miles for less than 3 k more needs serious thought especially as the dealer is playing hardball on the price which started high.

That might be the same one i saw if it's got carbon engine bay covers? Looked sweet.
TH boler are all SOR as far as I know. Simon Abbott retails a few nice cars but was typical dealer responsive when I emailed them for a bit of info, not interested really.
