Here is a pic of my R8 V10 spyder i picked up last friday at reading Audi. You wont regret it the sound is orgasmic especially with the roof down. To be fair i have just fitted a capristo exhaust! however even stock it sounded great. Mine is S-tronic gear box alot better then R-tronic. My mate in his aventador (in pic) thought the R8 felt just as quick. So for the money i really think its great value if you can get the V10 with s-tronic box
Have you driven both? Just curious. I find the R-Tronic more appropriate for a sports car, perhaps less to a GT or cruiser.

So Audi refused to sell it to me because it was a dog, send it to BCA auction these buy it for 63 then put it up for 73 this is exactly why I will never buy a top end car from a dealer like this

yeah thats bad news, i do wonder how these dealers survive... theres so many cars out there advertised at the same or worst more than main dealers. California's are the same, whos gonna buy a car for the same price without a proper 2 year Ferrari warranty?

Well for sure it will never be me, id rather give the main dealer a few k more but from what ive seen so far is they are cheaper to buy from!!

To be fair we did have a drag a few times on closed roads! every time i changed gear i could pull a little, i think in real world driving there is not much difference, however on a mile long straight I'm certain he will pull away comfortably. If the aventador had a dual clutch it would be perfect, although the single clutch does add to the occasion and suits the aventador perfectly

Yes i have driven both, i mean around town with eh r-tronic it feels a little lazy, however at higher speeds its not that bad and is still a fun car to drive. I suppose it depends on if you like the instant shifts between gears i personally on the r8 and so can use it more on a daily basis!

Any car of this price is worth spending a little extra for main dealer with warranty.

Happy hunting.

Been talking to West London Audi today on this car. Its more than I wanted to pay for one but looks a minter with low miles long story short it's not red it has super low miles and the bits I want. All I have managed to get is 1k off screen price not sure if this is worth pursuing or simply wait until first few months of 2018 when its cold miserable!! It is however the best priced R8 Spyder if you compare mileage spec and year available at present from trade
This is a nice motor and to be fair i paid similar price with 6700 miles and a 2014 as seen in previous pic i posted. I had the same idea of buying in winter as you tend to get less buyers buying convertibles however i managed to get few k off with gap insurance thrown in (even though these don't really cost the dealers much).

The guys at audi say every month if a car does not sell they review the prices so if you don't mind waiting i am sure it will drop a little more over the coming months. Then spring/summer the price will prob firm up again.

One has 690bhp and the other has 517bhp. R8 Spyder V10 is 1,745kg and Aventador Coupe is 1,575kg...

I'd be surprised if there wasn't a perceptible difference to be honest.

That said, both nice cars so congrats to you both smile

And now to add insult to injury Audi West London have not as yet repaid my 2k holding deposit I left on 20th November only to be told after that the car was faulty and they couldn't sell it to me. And now not responding to my emails?? Anyone know the best route forward to force them into action to repay this as don't see why they should be holding my funds at all. Deposit was left over the phone on a car which turned out to be faulty and didn't even make it through inspection and was then withdrawn from sale by them.

Thats very strange especially as its a main dealer and west london Audi being of the flag ship Audi dealership. I would go down there myself or call them and speak to the general manager. Were you in talk with a particular sales person via email? have you not tried calling and speaking to that person directly?

Yep, emails are easy to ignore, a personal visit or a phone call are not.

It takes a few days to go through. I asked for mine back from west london when they misdescribed an S5. It took about a week to show back on my credit card,

Ok I can wait some more just frustrating been a crap week had a new clutch put in my trusty Ford galaxy last week now vibrates to he'll took it back where to Neanderthal mechanic said it's your turbo going mate!! I said I might have noticed that noise before as ive had the car 5 years!! So theyve no idea why it now vibrates and will not investigate further other than a test drive by said Neanderthal. Any ideas anyone or another case of toss the grand away and try and live with the vibration?
