Good for you, I was in my fifties before I could afford and justify a super car, that’s if you’d call a 360 Spider a supercar, I paid cash for it, but 54k is neither here nor there compared to some of the machines of today, I still have that same car, I admire those that can, have built and sold businesses etc and they have my respect, unfortunately most of us have to graft for many years, well me anyway! I can tell you this my 54k 360 means so much to me, I treasure it, good luck to you, I hope you get your dream. Mike
That’s it hard bloody work and it makes you appreciate it I’m determined to before I’m 40 that’s for sure

Well yes I think its fabulous, looks modern & fresh to my eyes.

Especially love the rear head on & three quarters rear, reminds me of viewing a shapely ladies posterior all sexy swoops & curves.

Not wishing to denigrate the current offerings from Ferrari whilst chatting with the faithful! but to my eyes & I've just asked the wife for her view too in a 5 second sofa pole the 488 looks ordinary & dated by comparison.

Different strokes for different folks.

McLarens get the ladies votes in my experience. Given the choice of going out in the McLaren, Ferrari or Lambo, without fail they all seem to choose the McLaren.
Morale to the story - if you want to attract fit, nubile young ladies buy a McLaren biggrin

Lol, good old Rambo always game for a laugh.

Please don't tar all McLaren owners with the same brush.

Bare in mind he owns a Ferrari as well!

Your name is a perfect fit for RL as he's clearly pulling it!

I know. I am. Not it, his leg, also. Keep up at the back.

Wife borrowed my Mercedes GL this morning. I'm in a cracking good mood now. At what stage did she think, "I can hear metal scraping on metal, I'll keep going"?

I've taken her Merc in for new front brakes, told her to take the youngest lad's new Aygo as it's small and easy. She insisted on an Auto and said "The GL is the same as my GLA". I relented like an idiot. The GL is massive.

She's hit the inside post of a ramp in a car park in York.

How the feck she kept going for that long at car park speeds without thinking, "I'll stop, that doesn't sound right" I don't know.

Pain in the arse as I'm testing at Rockingham on Friday, racing at Rockingham in mid May and on a Lotus track day in Folombrey in late May and the GL is my tow car.

And I thought Ferrari brakes were expensive, lol.

Oh dear, that isn't going to polish out......

Mine did a classic parking her Range Rover visiting my work premises a little while back, pulled up against the rough finish heavily artexed wall on an angle so that the parking sensors didn't tell her to stop until she had touched the wall. Then to add insult to injury she exacerbated the situation by lowering the suspension down to get out, thereby running scrape marks all the way down it.

On the plus side I had a lovely quiet couple of days not talking to her.

That is pretty amusing but gutting

Highly unlikely I'll take this view this evening. I think I'll go for quietly stewing for a couple of days and see what points I can get out of the situation for later. Reckon I can get the thumbs up for a 5th road trip this year out of it.

What was this thread about again? ;-)

If a comparison is any consolation, a while back there was a LaFerrari at a main dealers waiting for a replacement door as the owner had damaged the underside. I forget the exact amount but it was more than £90k. For one car door...

Well, I just had the 458's front pads replaced and they were £762 all in. Not bad. They had 4mm left on but as I'm off into Europe in it soon and the discs are a whopping £4000 a corner I thought getting the pads done was a good idea rather than fooking up the £4000 discs.

Mercedes GLA front discs and pads, £250 fitted plus a new door and paint job on a GL. Doh.

And I complain at paying 180 quid for golf gti pads lol! Admittedly discs and pads are only 280 according to vw!

May I ask how many miles you got from the front pads?

19,000 miles over 4 years from new. About 10,000 of that has been round Europe, mountain passes etc, at a fair pace, the rest UK and a mixture of local and runs out into North Yorkshire, the North Coast 500 and Wales.

Not that bad tbh I got 30k in the last 2yrs out of mine although that’s been a fair mix of driving
