Know of a Gallardo Performante that was sold for 110K.
Should have held out for a MK1 SL but hey ho.
I know the car, black one, if you google the registration it was registered as a taxi for a day in London and most alarmingly a couple of adverts when it was previously for sale displayed mileage which didn't stack with the service history.Should have held out for a MK1 SL but hey ho.

I don’t agree with SLR. In fact I think they have a way to go before they bottom out.
Were cheaper before the hype and pretty sticky now. When prices are falling or static, no-one wants high running costs.
I think the SLR is decent value compared to SLS prices right now, but both will come back.
there has always been a big spread between asking prices of SLRs, if you look hard you can get a great deal stillWere cheaper before the hype and pretty sticky now. When prices are falling or static, no-one wants high running costs.

Mk 1 Gallardo Superleggera
Best of breed and very cheap right now, esp LHD, so limited downside even if market goes south.
great car, but you try owning one and not piling on the miles !Best of breed and very cheap right now, esp LHD, so limited downside even if market goes south.
Should have kept..
What are the MK1 SL like to run?
Should have held out for a MK1 SL but hey ho.

Do you know what the running costs are like, services, general maintenance, warranty? If you buy from Lambo dealer does the car come with warranty?
As far as I know if you bought a MK1 SL at HR Owen for example you would get some kind of warranty on it.Running costs? well here is my rough guide
Petrol £50 at least, no matter where you go. Mine always has about 1/2 tank when I fill up. About £120 to fill up from empty (250(ish) miles range).
Past 2 services have been around 1500. Think this year is a major service which I can't imagine get much change from 3K. Mine has and always will have Lambo FSH.
Tyres, needed all 4 that was about 1200.
Insurance: I am with Chubb and it kind of works out about 1.1% of the agreed value.
Tax: £45 per month.
I think any naturally aspirated manual supercar with low miles will hold or go up in price in 7 years. But instead of spending 100k I think the original series 1 manual Audi R8 V10 is a great choice at the prices they are going for now. The series 1 is the best looking imo with a naturally aspirated V10 it's at the bottom of its depreciation and is a great investment for the future. Manual cars will def increase better than the PDK autos just look at prices of the manual 612 compared to the auto now. Same with a 458 any old 911 manual compared to the tiptronic. In 7 years it would not surprise me if no new supercars will have a manual transmission and a large naturally aspirated engine anymore.
