In the last few days I've seriously considered getting a Boxster S............but

I know that if I got it I'd still want a Ferrari and besides, rather than pay £44,000 for a Boxster S, I can get a 348 GTS for between £29,000 & £35,000.

Don't do it! I went from various 911s to a Boxster S to a 355. The Boxster isn't a cut price 911 , and won't be a patch on the 348 for giving you driving pleasure. I've had the 355 for 5 years and still love the sense of occasion every time i open the garage door/go for a drive.

As a certified porsche nut (911's mainly but i've had nearly all models) I would say without a shadow of a doubt............

FERRARI every time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

suprised?

The boxster does what it says on the tin with typical german efficiency yada yada yada. But the 348 it's a Ferrari nuff said

What colour you after?

I've only seen two up for sale at the moment. One black and one red. One is definetly a GTB, but the other I'm not sure although the ad says its a GTB and it was registered Nov 93.

Both going for £34,995.

Just asked Aon for a quote and will be popping down to KHPC end of this week.

Ideally looking to swap for a RHD red one, but it must be a GTS, not GTB.

I presume at £35k those are both RHD.

I spoke too soon.

KHPC have a Red 94 GTS with 10,200 miles for....£44,995.

So that's three for sale out of 14.

A friend bought a 348, took it for a service and got charged 7K (at a ferrari dealership) - must have been a big one, so think they can be expensive. He haggled lots to reduce the bill.

£7k ? Was the engine rebuilt?? I'm really struggling to see how you can spend that kind of dough on a service.

What do you expect from a dealer!!!!

I took a Porsche 944 S2 to a dealer for a service and new clutch. Came to £2,800!

You should have seen my face!
