I think that car is +VAT
Looks great in that colour. Most colours give it a 'challenging' visual.

A 720S at an Indy now up for £130k. Seems the going price now.
That’s a sticker price of £156k which isn’t that cheap. There are lower mileage 2018 cars with a sticker price of less than that.

Why do some dealers put a plus VAT price up, drives me mad. Trying to get their car to appear earlier in the low to high price sort order most people will use?

If your experience is typical which I suspect it is then McLaren should be pricing their warranty at cost rather than treating it as a profit centre. The cost of warranty is often cited as a reason people don’t want to buy one and the fact they charge so much implies the cars are unreliable...adds fuel to the fire !
It does give a bad perception of the car, plus the fact that the internet gets more hits for problems with cars than not.

But even at 5K per year the service/warranty cost is dwarfed by depreciation, so why worry about it? If you can't afford to run one, you certainly can't afford to buy one.

I think the problem has been with all the easy finance available people who can't afford to run them can afford to buy them.
It's why forums like this have become so boring with the majority of posts being obsessed with depreciation rather than the enjoyment these cars can provide.

He's trying to be clever but is failing as its not attractive to someone looking for a vat q one so will just gets more phonecall from people who don't understand the vat element.
Vat q cars should never be listed like that as they aren't plus vat, they are Inc vat whereas commercial vehicles are plus vat.

Have to say, the value or depreciation of my car havn't been topics i have given much thought or concern to.

You are right though; it must be the most posted and boring subject about McLarens.

Buy it; enjoy it and lose money on it.

Its called owning a supercar.

The selling price varied over the course of time however if it was £130k originally, that's a £15k markup.

Wonder if it's a SOR?

Great ad too: they state its a 2018 car with a 17 plate confused (in the title at least, I didn't read the rest of the ad)

I've just noticed that too. That's done by AT and not the seller.
Car was registered in Reading when new in July 17 so seems just a weird error.
