My Pantera was hired for another photo shoot for a fashion clothing line about 10 days ago. In a driving rain storm here in Los Angeles, I drove the car about 15 miles to the warehouse destination in an industrial part of downtown L.A. It was a nerve wracking expedition, but I made it, and the photographer and clothing company exec told me that they loved the pictures and the car and that they would be using it again. I snapped a few photos when I had a chance.

Hi tberg, Been watching your terrible weather you have had in California ,didn't make me feel so bad about being in the UK

but i expect it is back to normal now with the sun shinning.

Not sure if i would have wanted to take that beautiful Pantera of yours out in that storm but i suppose you had no choice ,you couldn't let

the fashion company down,

I have done similar shoots with my cars ,TV programs ,adverts and the odd school prom or wedding, some as a favour to friends.

Quite a lot of stress and responsibility especially here in the UK with our long winters but good fun when it goes well ,

also nice meeting interesting people. Hope you are all keeping well.thumbup

Hey ratrod 2,
After so many years of hearing how we were in a drought condition, rationing our water, banning grass lawns, etc., it's kind of fun seeing this amount of rain and not having to listen to the drivel about how we're in the driest cycle in history (utter nonsense). But, Los Angeles and its drivers are not used to wet weather driving, and the housing developments that hug every hillside in the local mountains are subject to lots of mudslides. We are expecting another large storm coming on tomorrow night through Wednesday that will dump another 5" or so of rain in a very short period of time. It has been a cooler January/February than i can remember in recent history. We always seem to get some 90*F weather during those months (at least in the San Fernando Valley part of L.A.) but not this year. Temps hovering around 70-75* when it's been dry. The good thing is that my 80 year old orange tree after a couple of very small crops over the last 3 years is back to its 4000-5000 fruits output that it has had for decades. It likes the rain very much. And my grass has never looked this good. Traversing the famous canyon roads from the Valley into Beverly Hills or Westwood, like Laurel Canyon, Coldwater Canyon, Beverly Glen and Benedict Canyon have been daunting and sometimes impassable over the past couple of weeks, but soon we'll be having the soaring heat we're known for, and we'll have forgotten all the wetness. The invitation is still open anytime you want to come. Plotting out our Sunday car meet choice now with my friends just in case the storm comes in a day late and it's clear Sunday morning.
Stay well.

Hi tberg, Yes it must make a change for you guys to see rain, with probably 9/10 months of it last year it can get a little tiresome,

We had a hot and dry June last summer and there was talk of a hose pipe ban ,yes after all the rain we had before that.

The grass was turning yellow and looked more like straw then it started to rain in July and August with a mini heat wave in

September with 35c at the Goodwood Revival, Only lasted for about a week though.

At least you know that once the rain stops you can rely on a sunny outlook .

Thank you once again for your kind invitation .may surprise you and myself one day and turn up,

Would be nice to go out in a Panters again. All the Best Ratrod.
