Aventador S Full Owners Review

I’ve probably been misinformed but I was told that overfilling a petrol tank could lead to engine damage - something to do with the charcoal canister that absorbs excess vapour being affected. I was told to never fill after the handle has clicked.
Never heard of anyone who has had a problem doing it and i do a lot of tours with Lamborghini where everyone learns to do it pretty quick for the extra range. Only fuel related issue i have seen was a roadster fuel overheating on a very hot day and virtually exploding out of the fuel filler when it was opened. Turns out ac needs to run to cool the fuel tank if you turn it off for whatever reason when its stupidly hot its not good news sitting in traffic.

Just to update - after the radiator/fan passenger side was replaced in early May before the original warranty expired (for the second time in 4 months) the car has been faultless and still impresses when pushing on.
New tyres all round after some hunting around fitted at around £1,300 as opposed to the rather obscene £5,400 quoted by my main dealer.
Minor service done at main dealer just as they reopened after covid lockdown at £1,500.
Driven almost every day since purchase in early November 2019 at 1,300 miles, now on 7,500 miles.
To extend the official warranty is £6,600 for a year, yet to make a decision on this.
Downside looking at 3 points hopefully not more after some spirited driving, unmarked copper in a 2013 3 series grey coupe!! in Brentwood in Essex.
Was rather shocked to say the least, assumed it was someone egging me on as he was close to my rear and not hanging around, I now am very cautious who is behind me. Other than that, am still happy and impressed.
First time I saw a Lambo was in the 1980's series AutoMan where he has a Countach. It was shockingly cool in stealth black. This reminds me of that. This is the first time I have seen an Aventador in black and it really suits the car - looks like a stealth fighter jet.New tyres all round after some hunting around fitted at around £1,300 as opposed to the rather obscene £5,400 quoted by my main dealer.

I have only previously seen them in the traditionally flamboyant bright colours but I think the shape suits black so much better.
Yes, I also agree, more specifically, slightly matt black like what you get with XPel Stealth for instance.
I think the shape is more visible than with glossy matt that gives you the full ranbe of gray compared to glossy where you have basically mostly dark and white colors.
What I would dream to own, but in roadster:

That's perfect I think the shape is more visible than with glossy matt that gives you the full ranbe of gray compared to glossy where you have basically mostly dark and white colors.
What I would dream to own, but in roadster:
With that satin sheen, accentuates the lines

Car now currently up for sale, listed on pistonheads, problem is what to replace it with, currently only interested in the following:
Performante Spyder
Aventador S Roadster
675 LT Spyder
Driving the F8 tributo tommorow, which will be interesting, but would only consider the spyder varient, which I guess I would have to wait over a year for, probably more........

Drove the F8 tributo a few weeks ago and was very impressed with car overall.Performante Spyder

Big step up on 458 and 488 but was disappointed with cabin similarity and noise.
Like you I would want spider and was told March 2022.
Of your list the 675LT stands out to me as a performante owner but I might be biased as I've bought one in addition to perf.
Perf scores on N/a engine, throttle response and sound but in every other department 675LT wins hands down for me but depends what you want.
A drivers car or a posers car ?
Current issue I have is 3 dealers who have a 675 lt spyder, I maybe interested in, won't allow test drives as their cars are S.O.R.
I am in no rush, but have only driven a 650 spyder and 570 spyder for a brief period so need to find someone to take me out in their 675 spyder for 30 mins plus to see if its worth the hype.
More concerning is the fact a decent 650 spyder is now only 90k, so 100k on top for a 675 is hard to justify, but am reserving judgement as I have not driven one.

Nice issue to have! ... but that 100k uplift for the LT is probably largely irrelevant as the LT will probably always be worth 100k more when time comes to change??lambo666 said:

PM me in a months time and you can drive 2 on your list.I am in no rush, but have only driven a 650 spyder and 570 spyder for a brief period so need to find someone to take me out in their 675 spyder for 30 mins plus to see if its worth the hype.

I doubt any money you offered would tempt me to offload them though

I assumed I would move from my 650 spider to a 675LT spider, but the 650 is so very capable and stupid fast that it is still as equally good or better than the current offerings from other supercar manufacturers, that I could not see a £100k premium to change to the 675.
Fair play if your going to track it all the time, but i don't and use the car almost daily, hence my change of mind.
The usual equation seems to be that the lightweight limited edition track special cars are twice the prices of the regular production car whichever brand.
Whilst it is hard to justify twice the price ( and you never will unless you drive one properly ) most are significantly "better" than the regular production car.
My 430 scuderia was twice the price of a F430, my incoming 675LT is more than twice the price of a 650S but strangely my Performante is probably only 60% so I would probably put that down to production volumes.
Are they twice the car NO
Are they 20% better and that makes the defining difference YES definiteky IMHO.
I rarely track my cars ( prefer to use others ) but I prefer the track focussed cars more on the road because I like the rawer sportier feel.
If i want a wafter I would take the R Rover or Bentley.
Everyone's use and priorities are different so there is no right or wrong.
If i only had one car as a daily i would have a 720S but as I have several different cars it does not appeal to me at all despite being a cracking all round car
