Occasionally watch Demuro as same height as me
I've tried to watch Demuro but I just can't get past the fact he's 3/4" taller than me. Totally ruins it for me.
Not to mention his excessive sweating.

I’ve seen the rosso FF for sale on Collecting Cars and it is a very good example.

Sorry, I'll clarify;

It's the most expensive way of buying privately, as in with no buyer protection. Yes cars routinely fetch below dealer prices but there is a certain amount of protection offered in that cost.

I wonder how collecting watches will get around shipping? At least with C24 there is the protection of the escrow system.
Ah yes now i see.

Yes buying blind too comes into the equation too but i guess you can raise issues on the day of collection. I paid once i'd inspected my car.

The world of watches as we know is full of crooks so they will need to be very aware of what they are getting into
I think this is a great idea, although I wonder how they will protect the buyer or prevent listing fakes etc. I got totally screwed on a rolex for my wife from a dealer that whilst legit on the outside was rammed full of after market tat inside.

I think its a good idea .. the buyer and seller get a good deal and cut out the dealer. Extending the format into watches makes perfect business sense.

So no fee for seller or buyer?
Didn’t realise that.

So with the watches website it’s the same as the cars.

The collecting watches people, collect a dealers margin but with zero comeback or warranty for the buyer.

If their fee was £250 I would say for what they do it’s even expensive then, but for those paying 6% you need your heads checking. I’ll continue to buy my watches and cars from a dealer who I can shout at if I have a problem.

It won't work for everyone and in every instance. However I do know when I come to sell for my Ferrari 488 I will sell on their site rather trading it in.

That’s fair enough, but from what’s been seen on there cars are not reaching and selling for the money that a dealer would offer for an outright purchase or a huge amount below a realistic private sale. But if you do make sure you set a high reserve and don’t let them bully you into lowering it like they have with others on here.

If it’s Feb timeline then please DM me the detail as I know somebody considering purchase.

Or just look at what equivalent cars are selling for net to seller on collecting cars, add £6,000 to the price.

Therefore you and a buyer are getting a much better deal
than having to buy from what is nothing more than eBay motors but with ridiculous fees.

Anyone know what happened to the Diablo? Was there last night with an £80k bid but not in the sold cars section today.

Do we think the trade bought that red f8 tributo? Under list price sale so presumably likely.

It's an Auction - that's how the whole industry works. I struggle to understand see the angst on this thread about rules and terms that are well understood and industry wide.
