Collecting Cars auction results

98 page thread indicates you guys know a thing or two about CC auctions. What are the collective thoughts on selling very unique cars on their platform? Have sellers any sway in setting reserve price? If reserve not met, is there any cost to the seller?
The seller sets the reserve, but an unrealistic reserve is in no one's interest and I am sure CC doesn't want to get a repetition for cars not selling (so might refuse to list). Also, the buyer will be paying 6% on top, so the reserve will need to take this in to account. As far a selling unique cars, checkout sold prices, seems a great place for the odd and exciting, I've bid on a few and been disappointed to be outbid by a lot (needless to say good news for the sellers).
The only cost to the seller is if they use CC's photographer.

The platform appears to have plenty of visibility to private and trade buyers and many cars achieve surprisingly good prices. You can set reserve, which CC will probably ask you to lower as auction progresses.Only cost to the seller is your time and provision of c.200 photos. If the car doesn't sell it disappears from the site so wortha go imo.

Do you really have to put up that number of photos, if I was selling I’d put up what I consider enough which would be about 20/25 showing all the basics and damage etc.
If you were a seller wanting to sell then what is considered enough by potential buyers is surely what is important? If your listing had 20 photos and all the others had 200 that would be an immediate question mark for many buyers. Why would you skimp on a few photos unless you were wanting to hide something?CarreraLightweightRacing said:

Apart from pics no cost to the seller as the buyer pays the commission.I have 2 trade mates that use the site so know where cars should be priced and have sold a few cars on there.
Their experiences are positive. They all said the get contacted to lower the reserve price non stop but of course thats the sellers call

Goodness me that’s a blow. All the very best with your health.
Love the fleet, almost the same as mine but I need the Alfa for the full set.
I am definitely in the market if your are selling.

Guys I don't want to break PH forum rules, so I'll leave any further potential car sales stuff out.
I will however admit though the Alfa is a truly spectacular thing Much more detail and pictures here to give an indication to just how crazy it is:

Enjoy
Very sorry to hear that and all the best for the future.
With regards to CC, I think it is quite UK heavy, so not sure the results for your cars will be - relatively speaking - as strong as for the UK cars. On the other hand they are all quite special, so the LHD vs RHD topic might be less of an issue. In any case, good luck with the sale.
Edit: I think most of your cars are rhd anyway, so probably your best option in the current market environment
