That seems really low. I know nothing about R8's but does seem like a lot of car for that amount of cash. What are they new?

Not easy selling race cars for what they should be worth, Spend a fortune making them go faster, handle and stop better
then they end up in general being worth less than a road car ,Very limited market but would save a fortune, time and effort if you are thinking of converting a road going car from scratch. very limited market makes them a bit of a bargain.

That link isn't to a race car.

Ye that's what i thought ,but thanks CarreraLightweighRacing anyway,
I think the 308 GT4 race car may belong to the same owner as the background was the same, that didn't sell either at £35k.
Ideal for track days , race car or just a whole lot of fun as a road car.

Very limited market and it's always a compromise using on the road.
Plus very few women enjoy a race car on the street.
Some will see that as a bonus biggrin

Watched this one end up at about £23500 I thought the highest bid was from memory:
https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2003-tvr-tusca...

Just been put up on Ebay very quickly for a LOT more. Wonder if a deal bought it and felt he could turn a profit?
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/274622227924

I am at a loss to explain how if a private punter didn't buy it at £23500 + 6% so say £25k that they are going to pay £30k?

The seller on CC and Ebay are the same person. Look at the names. The CC advert should really have said trade sale, not private.

Ones Jonathan the other is Chris but both with same surname, but agreed it looks dodgy.

For their 6% do collecting cars not even validate the V5 is in the name of the seller, as opposed to being held by a trader?

Have to agree, the whole thing is geared towards neither buyer or seller. The 6% is just ridiculously greedy considering what they do for it.

ME FOR ONE ! nono Got two ex-wives to prove it. Just me and my four Italian mistresses now, and the dog of course.

At least i can lock them away when they throw a hissy fit and go back, when I'm ready to deal what ever problem it might be.thumbup

Seems to be a deal to be done after these auctions, not unlike E-Bay, sometimes seems to be more interest after than during
some auctions, most seem to come in for the kill catching seller with his/her guard down having not sold the item.

Just being nosy on the price as i got a similar car.

Is there anyway of contacting the seller or buyer post sale to save the £6000?
