Agree - the variety is what makes it interesting and worth going back to.

I very nearly bid on the SL55 AMG. It looked like a nice one and I fancy one for the summer

The Diablo sold for sensible money
I think the new owner probably got a good deal on that. Apparently awful to drive with a heavy clutch and steering - but totally iconic nonetheless.
Not awful - but certainly challenging if comparing with digital stuff.

A Diablo is an event, every single time.

What would people estimate the hammer price would be for the below?

Ferrari F430, Rosso Corsa, Crema, sub 20k miles, full history

My feeling is that once a car is posted on CC, it will always be looked at differently (Value wise) as everyone seems to ‘know’ the car

difficult one.....I fancy another 430 ..had 2 already......the only thing I will say is that last summer there was a red and tan for sale privately.....and he couldn't sell it at 70k....

as a seller , I think CC is great, get better than trade if you set the reserve right......but I wont be buying a Ferrari off there, I would always try privately first....just sadly sellers think their cars are worth more than retail....lol

try getting some trade bids if you wish to sell.....then add 5k for a private sale...that's normally works.

I agree.

Realistic ‘selling price’ is between retail and trade pricing. These cars need to be priced realistically and I’m sure they will sell. Too many cars being advertised month after month with no movement & potential buyers taking no notice of them.

That 987 looked pretty clean to me? It wasn't absolutely immaculate but what do you expect for £7k?
Yeah ... but it was £7k because it was a stter.
Apart from the items noted in the advert it seemed in decent condition. stter seems harsh? What's wrong with it? Genuinely want to know because I'm not seeing it. Low miles too.

Currently surprised at the "low mileage" R26.R they have, next to no service history and looks like it's lived at the bottom of a canal for a couple of years.

I've been looking a CC with a view to changing my car, as a purchaser that is, but it has made me seriously consider selling my current car via them also. I don't want to trade my car, and take a serious hit on the value via that method, but I realise that cash buyers at the 50K+ level is a different proposition.

Any opinion or thoughts? Its a 991.1 C4S at 28k miles with a decent spec if it makes any difference
Seems this kind of stuff is popular and sells well on CC.

This less than popular colour combo, with 32k miles one sold for £51,400 (inc fees, so around £48k net)

Other than CC, not sure what the alternatives are at the moment.

a sh'''''er is just the opinion of one person, the reality is it was a decent black on black nice mileage face lift boxter, we could argue on its value although i think it was cheap at 7250 ex premium, either way what is beyond dispute is the value for money, and the fct it's another car that has been "well bought" off of cc.

Yep my initial reaction to the price was it was a good deal. Last week a 2005 S2000 on 70k sold on CC for £13000+. Not any chat on here about that, even though that's extremely strong money.

The Polo GTI ending in a few minutes seems like a steal. Imported from Japan, but a UK car of the same age and miles is £15k on Autotrader.

Normally I would agree with you, but private sales for this kind of stuff has been a nightmare for a few years now, and during covid lockdown I can only imagine much worse.

Fees on top.....how much would this been from a main dealer? £180k? So this is probably already at trade money?
Is the car I linked to above, that ended at £154k, the same car that has appeared today......spec and mileage are very close;

https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...

Actually, just spotted that the second car is a 2017.......

doesn't it just, the engine bay pics and closeups -- looks worse than my daily snotter that's been sitting under a tree since lockdown started.

Ariel Atom 4 sold for roughly £14500 over list tonight including the buyers premium.

Great premium for the seller.

I just don’t get this one at all. Someone paid £63,600 for a car the seller happily provided info showing he paid £49,600 for not so long ago.

I get it to a degree with some Porches, Ferrari’s etc - but an Atom has always seemed so personal you’d want to be involved in its making with regards to steering racks, suspension, brakes, pedal adjustment - unless you were getting a healthy discount.
