Zymol is Very Good but Overpriced.
The Zymol Range of Concours and Vintage Wax is not bad.
The Ital Wax is worth looking at for the Ferrari Owners.
It does not keep the car looking clean for long especially in the UK but when it does rain you can wash your car a lot quicker thats for sure and top ups of the wax make a big difference to the car.
I would say it is protecting your investment but others may state different.
The waxes are overpriced IMO but are worth checking out for a first time experience.
After much use of the Zymol Range, I use Zymol Concours.

I use Meguiers? (sp) as I used it on my Laguna seca blue M3 solid colour and it was fantastic. I've changed car to a metalic silver grey Maserati and although its a colour which tolerates dirt really well, I dont get the depth of shine I had with the solid blue. I presume thats the clear top coat more than anything. Any tips for metalics??
If you use Zymol on your masser you will get more depth to the finish , granted not as much as a solid colour but you will see a big difference. What it will do more than anything is enhance the metalic in the finish and bring the colour alive , I'll try and post some photo's of silver cars if i can.
I went for the starter kit. Bit concerned about using my hands to apply the wax. Do people use applicator pads?

If its the carbon wax or the concours you can use an applicator pad , put it in ,turn it 1 x12th of a turn , it will look like theres not much on the pad but what is on there should cover the bonnet and possibly a wing or two.
Smooth it over the panel , following the lines of the car and buff it in. Dont wait for it to dry and do a panel at a time until you get used to it.
Hope this helps
Cheers

Dave stunning pics
I normaly use Meguires on my Exige which gives a good finish but after recently having to wash my old mans car (a 1960s Gordon Keeble which was in the Cartier Concourse at Goodwood FOS this year - so has Zymol generally lavished on it) I was amazed at the beading I got when I put the hose on it. I waxed my car a few times when I got it to build up some protection but the beading was nothing like the Zymoled car.
As a result I am thinking of using Zymol on mine. Its Zymol Titanium which is blue and smells so good I have thought about eating it!
Will this be suitable for my car? (Its a Lotus so fiberglass = soft paint)
Also does this need to be put on by hand or with the pad? and how many times a year should you do it?
Thanks for your advice.

Dave has done my Murcie a few times. Its in Lambo Manchester at the moment and never fails to get them asking what polish its got on it. What I can't get over is how you only ever need to wash it with warm water and the dirt runs straight off. Its not overpriced. One tub will last many years, you only need a little.Fab stuff

Thanks for the advice. I got the ITAL wax kit
Steve
I have a number of Vehicles and the One I found to be suitable for all the colours e.g Silver, Met Blue (x2) and British Racing Green is the Zymol "Concours"
around £140 for a tub.
make sure you buy HD Cleanse and the Lehm Clay and Liquid.
These are good products when used in Process to achieve a great finish.
Also worth looking at is the Glass Cleaner. Best I have ever used !
Dont forget the Cloths and Pads as well.

Quick query for those in the know.
I've got a starter kit with the Titanium wax and I will give the car the full treatment on Saturday.
Once its been waxed how do you 'maintain' it? Can you wash the car then just re apply more wax or do you have to HD Clense again? or just wash it and then do the full programme every few months?
The manual which comes with the kit refers to 'maintenance' but doesnt say anymore than that.
Cheers

Davey S1 said:OK, once you have a layer of wax on the car it will last a month or two, dependng on weather, if the car is garaged at night, and so forth. ALL you need to do is wash the car regularly - say, every week or every other week - then just rewax the car.

You need only HD-Cleanse the car every six months to a year, again, depending again on where the car is stored, and what condition the paintwork is in.
I'll give you an example: I 'Cleansed my Merc last summer and its still fine. I rewax every two months in the meantime, and wash the car every other week. In fact, you don't need to use the "Clear" as a car shampoo - Hellfruads or Vertar/other online Zymol retailers sell the Zymol "Premium" range, which includes something called Auto Wash - its a blue coloured car shampoo. I had it confirmed by Zymol in the US that this car shampoo won't strip the wax off the car. Better value at £8 for 500ml.
Hope this helps,
Greg

If you rewax regularly there's no need to do the full process, Titanium is an excellent wax which sets very hard, If your into waxing your car dont be afraid to wax it as often as you can because over time you'll see a steady improvement in the finish and it will last longer.
