Are supercars rising in value?

The sky is always falling in with main dealers. Not sure how WBAC would treat such a new M4 but worth getting a quote.
Try motorway.co.ukI sold an SQ7 to them last month, WBAC were £39500 and then bid £37200 in person, car was mint but had done 57k so obviously not new !
I went on motorway and they suggested £39k, they then put it out to dealers and one bid £41500.00 picked it up next day, no quibbles and TT money, really easy.
When the EPA were planning to ban the sale of R12 refrigerant I took most of my cash and bought as many 30 pound tanks as I could. When it was banned I waited 18 months then started selling it. Only took a few days and I sold all of it and made a s**tload of money.
Same principle with anything about to be banned or restricted. They will become a sought after commodity and fetch a premium price.

I do think there’s a definite move away from new cars for a lot of people….for road use we were already.driving sport/supercars with too much grip, weight and power to really be able to use them on the road to their maximum extent. Anything hitting the roads now has even more of all of those and sounds worse because of the filters all engines come with now. Unless you’re obsessed with ‘ring times and bragging rights it is hardly a compelling proposition. Even the tech proposition isn’t compelling because everyone uses Apple Car Play these days so nobody cares about new functionality that the cars built in systems have.
So I think people are buying some of the great cars that are already out there…for a lot of people “peak car” is something made around 20 years ago,
Now if manufacturers spent their R&D budgets on weight saving that would get me interested again. In the mean time I’ll keep exploring the back catalogue like a lot of other people.

Well yes, illegal things sold illegally will generate a premium.Same principle with anything about to be banned or restricted. They will become a sought after commodity and fetch a premium price.

Sorry, I gave you the wrong information. The EPA banned the manufacture or importation of R12 but allowed the sale of the remaining stocks.Seeing the writing on the wall, I stocked up believing the price would rise, and it did.
I used the analogy to possibly explain the rise in the price of supercars as the owners can see that they will increase in value after next year.

A very good piece of business in that case, so well spotted and well done.Seeing the writing on the wall, I stocked up believing the price would rise, and it did.

As a wonderful example indicative of Porsche RS prices going mental-
Porsche Cambridge have just listed a lizard green , first registered in May 2018 car-
so first wave without Weissach………they are asking £189,000- even though the car has done over 20,000 miles.
Certainly only a few months back ultra low mileage equivalents we’re selling at circa 172k-

Annoying for buyers who were sat there then, waiting for prices to drop even further as Porsche Cambridge have just listed a lizard green , first registered in May 2018 car-

predicted by some, kind of shot themselves in the foot.

Was it the black SQ7 - KMZ? I sold an SQ7 to them last month, WBAC were £39500 and then bid £37200 in person, car was mint but had done 57k so obviously not new !

and if you read the Weekend FT, one cannot buy a new or secondhand private yet or motor yacht for love nor money with all your bitcoin profits, the 1970's are about to be revisited
I really do hope so. I've ended up with far more "things" than I should have, what with one thing and another, and if property and cars are going up that at east means that I might get a positive return on them rather than just seeing money dribbling out the door.DeejRC said:
It’s amazing how my wife thinks I apparently have too many “things”, but her open all hours expense account on Amazon is absolutely fine…
A Jag collector admitted on camera that his wife didn't have a clue how many cars he has as long as they are all B.R.G.Hope she doesn't watch the video,

Years ago I had a BRG Griffith. I replaced her with a new Sagaris that was Reflex Charcoal - sort of green. Visiting home my mum asked if that was the same car as last time, so I said yes. She just said OK!
No way am I brave enough to remotely try that with my wife though. I tried "shenanigans" with the Ferrari I ran in Switzerland and that didn't go particularly well with the lady boss of the household. Im not the brightest bloke in the world, but Im not dumb enough to cock that one up again.
Anyway, back on topic, with a bit of luck - there should be a deposit going down on an F12 today Ive just got to also make sure I put a deposit down on a Kubota for wife!
