Can’t help feeling Lamborghini should be enlisting Audi’s help to reduce the backlog. I’ve seen Bentleys being made on the VW Phaeton line in Dresden so why not make Urus’s in Ingolstadt?

Does make me think Ferrari are very late to the SUV party…
Supply bottleneck is a good thing.
Lamborghini have aced their market position.

They are a bit like bitcoin at the moment,
With Bitcoin, you have nothing potentially.
With a Urus, you have a Urus.

OK I stand corrected in my cynicism about £200k SUVs as an investment proposal.

It all seems pretty toppy to me. Once all the PE guys who need to make enough money to buy a small country to retire in at age 35 have started the IRR kicking in by buying from the previous fund and to mix metaphors the music even stutters a bit, my cynicism may be restored. I bought an Atom 4 which apparently I can sell for a premium if so minded but it would distress me not in the slightest if the market tanked totally because I want to keep it. But then I "only" have £66k at risk. I would be a bit more worried if I had £200k in play but then I suppose it isn't going to drop to zero so perhaps I wouldn't. Anyway enjoy it and if it suits to man maths it into an investment I'm totally onside for that.

The Urus isn’t an investment, it’s something that will depreciate at a lower rate than most of its peers….
Sure you might be able to flip a new one for a few extra grand, but it’s hardly worth the aggro imo..

I sell cars for a living. My intention is to run for a year or so with as little loss to me as possible. Its a car, the market can shift and change at any time and if thats the case then its on me, but with my own gut feeling and industry knowledge I feel safe that I can own this car with little financial impact.

I am getting increasingly excited for it, should be due early next year. The fact is low mileage nearly new examples are still selling for in excess of list. Some quite substantially.

I have no interest in SUVs so did not follow prices, but this is amazing - it has 75k on the clock and still asking 250k - list can’t have been that much more?

What is more amazing is the options expansion and people are paying for. A car that started at 165 with potential 30-40 k options in line with Lambo generally has become 180k which does include a few extras but you can spec to 270+ so the best part of 100k in options, just nuts imo. Lamborghini must be very, very happy, especially if you see what Audi charge for identical stuff.

They certainly are in vogue. Surely by their 5th birthday they will start dropping not least of which being a heavy suv plenty of components will be outside of warranty and that's when 4 door luxo barges start plummeting.

But for all those that have one enjoy it as I can forsee another 18 months of fairly free motoring!
