Personally I prefer the 6. That V8 sounds so much better than the v6 IMHO, though it is reportedly the more aloof drivers' car and obviously more £££'s.

sadly the Maser may be going this weekend all being well.

due to various reasons I am erring towards the RS4, the 6 is an unbelieveable car but I'm drawn to the fact that the 4 is still small & squat & chunky. I'm going to be off work for 6 months so saving cash & buying property is a priority.

I'll also be letting someone have a little fiddle with my ecu (oo er!) so wont exactly be standard.

I have to say, having done some spirited driving in the cotswolds I'll be gutted to see the maser go. I parked outside a very cool country house hotel where we stayed & the car got so many comments despit being alongside some pretty special machinery. Oh well, c'est la vie.

rant over, ta ta.

It'll have to go it some to beat the RS2 4-up nutterdom as well.

So, having a toss up between an RS4 and RS6 as I want an estate (unless you chaps can think of anything else)

Audi

Yep. fc,uk responsibility and buy a 355. And then buy a Tubi.and a chip.

Your missus will say "but what about the kids"

And you will say "thats what your car is for"

You know it makes sense. Audi are for getting about. Ferrari's are for driving.

Sorry if this has'nt helped much.

Real shame about the Maser, but I just walked past an RS4, and in looked stunning. So good choice.

well, with a tear in my eye I saw the maser drive away last night.

Closing remarks, what a great car, gets so much attention, great to drive and quick to boot. Also I have to say, ownership was on the whole not an expensive experience for me, aside from the dreaded depreciation, which wasnt too bad, I have had 2 years (almost to the day) and 15000 (almost)faultless miles.

I hope the new owner enjoys her as much as I did.

Sad for you buddy, we'll miss those hazard lights up the tarmac leading everyone around at VMAX.

Any news on the replacement?

thanks mate, yep, end of an era.

We just needed a family wagon & I'm using the bike every day so not practical.

I havent mentioned to Angela that her new estate has 4 wheel drive, 2 turbos and 380bhp yet

temporary measure but does the job nicely & its pretty much mint.
