I did enjoy my 650s. It's like two cars in one, with the folding hardtop, but it sounds naff and the car is so competent that you have to driving at insane speeds to get any involvement and excitement.

Did yours have the sports exhaust option? I'm let to believe its an "essential" option. I'm starting to understand why they put an induction noise box in the cabin.

My 570 is same, without the roof down its way too muted in the cabin. Lambo for noise drama for sure!

Supercar looks , preposterous performance , doors that go up …no sense of occasion ?
And how would he sit in just one gear? The statements made no sense, the 650s or 570s are true supercars, the R8 will always fall into the "is it/isn't it" bracket.
^^^^ yes

I'm not saying the 570 wasn't a super car I loved the presence and styling doors etc and handling and speed was crazy but atleast from inside the cabin it was so muted , im not sure why they muted it out so much with the 570gt also on offer . It would have made sense to me to have the gt a bit more refined but the 570s should come sounding way better inside . The intake sound generator thing didn't seem to make any noticable difference to me . In regards to mentioning I could do all my b roads sat in 1 gear I mean it had enough power that I could be in 4th or 5th the whole way and any attempt to go up through the gears would result in dangerous speeds . The best way to put it was I didnt find it a fun car to drive at slower speeds . Which brings me to my current dilemma of would the 560-4 be a better engaging drive through out the speed ranges than an gen 2 r8

Had a day in a 580-2 Huracan (gen 1) a while back and it didn’t feel massively different to the V10 plus R8 (gen 1) I had for a couple of years…sure it looks flashier and has the badge but under the skin it wasn’t night and day. Maybe the Evo has moved things on a bit and I do like the looks of that car but I’d probably go for a Performante if I wanted to scratch the Lambo itch. The R8 v10 is a serious car for the money all things considered .

Yes my 650s did have the sports exhaust. For saying it is a v8, it just didn't sound like one. An exotic exhaust note is important to me and the 650s just didn't have it. That's the main reason that I sold it.
