Best place to look for one of these inter-galactic barges?

Carried out a search on here already, but not much came up? Few links which went dead.

Any help on choosing and reviewing would be useful too!

Long emails on buying guides are most welcome!

Cheers all!

talking of indies and authorised indies, after the thread about backup from Lambo for prices etc, how importasnt is it to buy from an authorised? i would prefer to keep cost (read as margin) down on cost of vehicle but would still get it checked out etc.

I would buy a car from anywhere, private, broker, specialist and main dealer and would still get it PPI'd by Lamborghini High Wycombe

Now that's a definitive quote I like.
I'll be looking at financing though, with sensible baloon. Any ideas people on values after say, 3 years?

Finance wise - it's hard to say what the baloon is (max I believe is 50%), it all depends on age mileage and what value the finance house will underwrite

2 Good suppliers of finance are:

www.classicandsportsfinance.com - Rob Johnson
www.saffronassetfinance.com - Kevin Edwards

Thats the £64k question isn't it!

IF I could buy tomorrow for 75k confident in the knowledge that well looked after I could sell in 3 years (trade) for 60-65k then I would.

On the other hand, I'd run like hell from a scenario where you buy at 85k and trade at 40k in 3 years.... No way I'm paying approx 15k per year to have a car I'll do <5k miles in!

and i totally agree! hence why i'd rather buy low in the first place. i'm not looking for pristine anyway, as it's intending to get used!

I like to buy mine with high miles on that have done all/most of their money.

So long as I can whack a warranty on, no worries.

A man after my own heart - exactly how I like to play too.

Now all I have to do, is find something I like and whether or not the package meets up in totality.

Speaking of which, anyone still have the buying guides which came out? I caught that a few people did have it, when I was searching through the archives. Still the case?

One of the early Evo magazine issues had a Diablo buying guide - think it was probably one of the first ten issues, may be worth contacting their back issues department.

The thing is you can never ever, even try and justify financially buying a V12 Lambo or some of the F cars. (General point - not meaning you Tony).Without sounding arrogant I get loads of people asking about the possible costs of depreciation and the point is - if you are ever going to try and make a case for the finance side just forget it! Buying one of these cars is (business wise) one of the worst decisions you will ever make. If you question it buy a Porsche. But its not about that - the plus points are the feeling you get from owning and driving a Lambo, and knowing its such a crazy thing to buy! You really only live once. I knew when I got the Murcie i'd be bricking it unless I could make it earn its keep at least in Summer (which it does now thank god.)But it was a huge risk.Down side is I know people are sick of the sight of it..But the point is, the purchase of any supercar is'nt a sensible thing to do.But it would be a boring life if we all took up fishing
