I have had the exhaust uncorked on my V8 Vantage and I can thouroughly recommend it. The noise is amazing.

I hope you enjoy yours. I don't envy your wait until 1st March though!

Yea ive already asked them to do it for me after they have done the PDI on it, it should all be uncorked for when i get it!! hate the thought of it being there and not being able to play but it makes sence to wait till 06 really! Aparently one of the guys from aston told me that a company is doing a sports exhaust for the amv8! Could be scary! Where abouts did u get ur v8 from?

I got mine from Lancaster Sevenoaks. I have now done just over 1000 miles in the first month of ownership and I am loving the car.

I hope that you enjoy yours just as much.

I found Aston Martin Derby are a very friendly dealership, and most willing to help.

Impressed.

Unless you're going for a whacky spec, I'm not sure why you'd be on an AMV8 waiting list when new cars are selling for under list.

To wait to pay more than you need to seems odd.

Hi Ed,

Is your Gallardo Black by any chance with a black background numberplate
on it (with silver lettering)?

I live in Nottingham and got on the M1 northbound at J26 this morning
when the afore mentioned Gallardo went by

As you said you were based in Notts I thought it have been you?
Nice looking car anyway!

Ian.

Sunday Times - couple this week. Of course trade are going to tell you they're going for over list when you're buying - try phoning one and tell them you're selling - that's the real answer.

I'd rather have the spec i want rather than wait for ages for a car that will probably only half fill the criteria, wanted to wait for 06 anyway to register it.

I'm not following you. The car mentioned above is 06 registered, and seems ideal spec.

What have you specced?

i believe he means 06 plate not 06 year, besides why on earth would you sell an aston thats a month old on e-bay and lose money on it when theres such high demand, im an ex bmw sales man and we used to give just under list price to customers who'd sell there 6 month 3.0d x5's back to us cos of the 18 month waiting list that was on them back then so why that man wouldn't sell his back to a main dealer i'd never know unless it's not a uk car,

2005 sales figures for aston martin

350 Vanquish
2,000 DB9
1,500 DB9 Volante (interesting comparison with above)
600 V8 Vantage (recently launched).

Total sales of 4,450

DR. Bez was quoted of saying sales will be maintained at about 5,000 cars per annum. Beats 1992 (46 cars built) or 10 years ago, with 723 cars sold (including 620 DB7).

as you can see aston took 600 amv8 orders last year alone, thats not taking in to account the 2003-2004 orders that aston took so yes i would say there is a demand
i think it's time to end this silly conversation as i have just proved you clearly don't have a clue what you are talking about!!! thank you and good night!

p.s no offence, just abit of fun

Murcie roadster must be quite practical; passed one on my way to work parked for three days in the front garden of a vacant house in Rugby. Looked great in black....covered in snow & ice...I kid you not!

A few more this week - not enough demand at £90k.

There'll always be some people prepared to wait to have a brand new one.

How much for one in say 3 months ? - £80k ?
