No shortage of smart venues with free parking either

I say let's do it.

What venues were you thinking of?

The Ramada Suites by Excel (east) is good. I know the manager good breakfasts and free parking next to the river.
It was the starting point for the Cannonball Run.

You must be running out of Teflon pants
Maybe tie-in as an RV point for an existing drive out?

I've got 10 Ferrari's confirmed for a VW type meet East of London.

We just need a good location and a date.

To make it easier, maybe somewhere near the M25 and where people can get food and drink etc?

As this thread is titled 'anyone in Essex' can I suggest The Bell, Horndon on the Hill. 10mins from A13/M25 junction, decent sized car park (although best get there early) and superb beer & food. Its here: http://streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=567055&y=183

The Bell is my local and on my road and if someone speaks to John the owner in advance, he will probably sort something out, but in my honest opinon, although the food and beer can not be topped, the car park is too small (enough space for about 30 cars in total tightly packed) and they do get a lot of cars in on Sunday lunch for the Restraunt. A duller but larger car-park location would be the Dick Turpin on the A127. Many Cars/Clubs have meets there.

Have you got a postcoe etc so we can see where it is.

Perhaps we should make a shortlist of locations and then whittle it down.

Yep, many regularly do and would be worth checking there are no other meets on

The pubs not too bad inside. Lots of parking with the Travel Lodge next door.

True, or there's the Harvester between Laindon & Horndon - the one on top of the hill. Pretty OK food, decent beer and good sized car park.
