I didn't see them, no. The Salesman just warned me they were not as flush as the Porsche ones (I assumed they are pretty commission hungry normally, and would happily sell punters anything) so took his advice.
The Lambo salesman said the same about the parking sensors on the Gallardo. Took his advice aswell, based on the same logic.
Sorry to put a dampener on this happy thread but if I had a deposit in for a 430 with this dealer I would be bloody annoyed . Inevitably they will have long standing clients who paid deposits months or even years ago who are still waiting.
Good for you Jim but I think the dealer behaved disgracefully.

Only if they don't meet the time line they quoted when they took your deposit. Or if they promised you would be bumped up the list should someone cancel.
Otherwise they are a business. When an opportunity arises to hook another customer, they'll take it.

I have been assured by my dealer that this would not happen - they apparently always go to the next person on the list. I'm not convinced but I am happy to wait until next year for my 430 Spider - still happy with the 360 at the moment.
IMO your dealer is being a bit liberal with the truth.
When the market is strong, it doesn't occur as much (no forseeable shortage of customers, and not many people cancel orders). But as premiums are softening most will happily hook another customer.
In the past I've been told by dealers the waiting list is X years, but due to drop outs you'll probably get it in Y years. But I've never had one assure me cancelations stay on the list.

The lead time on 430 fixed head has dropped to around 8 months, i could grab anyone a build for November etc.
Giving overs for 430 is now a bad move...06 gallardo sounds another level above 430 though....Gallardo still holds more mystic & exclusivity for me...even if it doesn't have the same heritage & ultimate track ability.

Ordered my Spider in September 00.
On the options, having got the electric seat, I'm not sure I'd bother again. Also much prefer the sports seats as the lateral support isn't top notch - after my CS I find you're sitting way higher, and being quite tall already, my sightline is roughly in line with the sun visors. I'm guessing the sports seats sit lower.
If you plan to leave the car for more than a couple of weeks at a time, the pre-wiring kit is also pretty useful.

I can assure you reverse sensors used to be on the option list of the Gallardo.
Call Lambo London if you don't believe me.

No, they were only ever offered as an aftermarket retro fit kit, not on the factory options list.
