hi peter. yep. its the same car. i can see from the flavour of your current fleet how you'd know the owner. thanks for the info, much appreciated. . as i've always thought , and havent gone wrong..yet,,you can tell as much from an owner as from a car when deciding wether to do a deal and with this guy i think what you see is what you get and the car looks really very very good. i dont foresee any dramas at inspection and then hopefully we will be able to do a deal.

qv gave the car a good look over this morning. i followed them around and nothing of note was found. the car really is as nice as i thought it was. a deal has been done and i should be in possession within the next two weeks.
two questions. all of the 348's i've seen have patches of delamination at edges of windscreens.common problem? certainly looks like it. and is it true that its not unheard of for people to stop the odometers on these cars..
anyone know how you'd get a 348 to sicily????

Nice one!

re: the mileage, if you have water-tight service history then this should back up the mileage.

How to get it to Sicily? Drive it.

Congratulations John! Regarding the odo reading – such is the stigma over high-mileage Ferraris some owners have apparently been known to disconnect the speedo for half the year. All the service history stacks up but the mileage is miraculously lower. One car I looked at had half the miles (in comparison to the one I bought), but twice the interior wear and generally looked well used. Hmmm..

Totally off the thread topic, but am thinking of a 348 purchase myself soon (alternatives include Corvette C5 or 911).

Would I fit behind the wheel of a 348 at 6ft3? Are they for short arses??

There's a lovely blue one in the classifieds....

You should be fine, I'm 6'2" and the guy who bought mine was as tall if not taller. Mind you, I do sit fairly upright.
