This one (I'm pretty sure of it) was owned by a guy that owns the Gym where my previous employer rented some offices. He drives a Mitsubishi GTO now though.

Maybe he just took the bodykit off?

I noticed that the panel gaps by the front of the doors looked really large.

I wonder what car it was originally?

Other than the odd fiero based one, the vast majority of these cars no longer start out "as a car" - they are spaceframe chassised, specifically designed suspension, and what parts are used from other manufacturers are very rarely from a single donor, each part is chosen for it's purpose.

The kit car market has (in most sectors) moved on a considerable distance from the rebodied 1.6 sierra components

spotted that the ithaca one was fake but thought it was very good one - the thing that made me question it immediately was the wing mirrors

why go to all that effort and then leave an obvious "fake" sign when body colouring the mirrors is so easy and cheap?

maybe he copied an original that was green with black mirrors? having them black was a conscious decision - they dont come black, they come as a lump of grotty coloured glass fibre. Paint em green, paint em black, takes the same amount of effort, so I'd guess he had seen a real one like this (or just liked the idea!)

This place do some good replicas. I think this would have been where the green one was from.

yep, Naz does some good stuff, though from my readings its not for the feint hearted to put together. He was showing a Miura at the stoneleigh show - unfinished, but looks promising.

I actually really like the idea of the miura.

Much more reliable at an obtainable price. I don't know if I'd run Lambo badges on it though.

That would make huge sense . . . but why a car that looks like a Miura . . . For the same money I'd have a second hand TVR . . .

That's all a matter of taste though, the Miura is, IMO, THE most beautiful car ever made. I'll never be able to own a real one, unless I win the lottery of course, but I would love to drive something with it's looks.

The TVR is OK if you like that kind of thing. not really my cup of tea styling wise. I could also make a Miura rep with an very reliable power source and mechanics of my choosing...

They're a bit pricey indeed . . .

. . . but what a glorious piece of kit . . . not to be touched. That V12 is a temple to worship one of the best engine sounds ever. Interiour is period . . . can't imagine that as a kit . . . without feeling an absolute pagan
