And I'm 6'2" and 348s are no problem!

I was about to add, I think I'm just over 6'2" and I've driven a 348 on a track and it was fine room wise for me.
Yes the 355 is a better car overall than the 348, with a more powerful engine and lots more dirving aids (electronics). And power steering.
If you like a modern feeling car, go for the 355.
If you prefer a more raw, basic, go kart like car then you'll prefer the 348. The last Ferrari without power steering. Easier and more fun to drive on the limit than a 355.
Looks are down to the person, but I vastly prefer the more striking aggressive 348, over the more beautiful 355.

Many thanks for all the advice guys. Once I have the BMW 840Ci Sport's preparation finished (mid-August), then going to Italy for a holiday and should be back early-September I'll go looking in earnest.
Cheers

I know someone who's selling a red 348 GTB in the next couple of months.

They arent just "that bad", they're "really, really bad"!
I have driven a few - first one was when they were out for about a year or two - local Ferrari dealer was keen to prise me out of my 964RS and into the 348 - he lent me one for a full afternoon - I took it back after about 30 minutes - walked away laughing - it was slow, didnt handle and felt like it was put together by a bunch of primary school kids high on blue smarties. I've driven a few since and every one has been the same.
