I'm looking at the possibility of an Enzo purchase, but I'm not a huge fan of losing lots of money on my cars, I always seem to buy well. My430 and DB9 have both held well. Doesn anyone have some advice on buying an Enzo and what the residulas are likely to look like in a years time ?

bit of an upgrade from a 430 to an enzo..
i'd say depreciation is the last of your worries next to servicing costs..
whilst they are more 'reasonable' on the enzo (read under £x0k per year) they will still cost more than most cars depreciate
Personally, I dont give a stuff about running costs or depreciation, i see them as a neccesary evil, I used to change cars every 6 mths.. so you can imagine the losses.

My advice is be more careful with your spelling in case you end up buying a Gonzo rather than an Enzo.

I have posted my cars below, I have just sold the 430 spider, RX05 FF0, as I said, it held well. The DB9 I still have V12 SKL, kinda similar to my username?? I honestly thought this forum, F,M & L was a serious one for serious owners. I guess not huh ?
I also have an arnage T for the record, if u need to see it by all means let me know and I'll post!
I am looking at the residuals, as, for one car 600k is a big punt, and a different league to a 430, thats all.

FWIW - I would have thought an Enzo would hold its value pretty well, but it has to be the running costs that'll be the killer ..... I guess it's one thing having it, using it properly is an entirely different thing - imagine if you stuffed it ?
Once you get up to that kind of money I tend to look at classics, now a 288GTO really floats my boat - mind you on the other hand, although not classicly beautiful, I've never seen a more startlingly dramatic car than an Enzo being driven on a public road !
Go for it I say, after all once you've done it you'll have memories that no one can ever take away from you !

Go for it but do your homework on values first.
Whereas an F40 or F50 has been around for a while and values relatively well known and stable, the Enzo seems to have quite wide-spread pricing with some dealers asking silly money. I'd imagine it's easy to get burnt if not careful. Good luck.

Well if you do not want to shell out the 600k+ for an Enzo maybe seek the alternative

As would I, I'm afraid. Ferrari's image is so much stronger than Maserati's (though Mazzers are far cooler IMO) that they could probably sell wheelie bins with the Prancing Horse logo on.
