The Ultimate Murcielago...
Discussion
Well the wheels are lighter, the sound system makes u WANT to go faster...
I suspect those amps may have undone any benefit in lowering the unsprung mass via alloys
I agree with the people disliking the gallardo, styling is a bit ick, so I'm going to vote with my wallet and not buy one! (I'll admit the styling isn't the only reason )
Tuscan S, just wanted to ask what you do for a living if you dont mind me asking. Its just that the Lambo Diablo and now Murciealago are definitely dream cars of mine but despite working my ass off to get where I am I do not think that I will ever get into a position where I could comfortably afford one. (I've just started out at UBS Warburg as a trader).
Likewise Manu, I've been reading this board and IIRC you are also a young chap driving around in Ferraris. So whats the secret guys, what should I be doing on the side?
The way things are going with House prices, living costs etc, I'm probably going to have to settle for the Lotus Esprit V8.
Ps stunning motor

Simon - limit your vices and perhaps be a bit insane sometimes. And keep the dream alive at all times
E.g. I drink, but don't smoke. Nor am I married or with kids as yet.
I also chose not to bother buying another house when I sold my last one, and bought a car instead.
Limited vices (but by no means dull - I think), and a bit insane (according to some).
Either way you still need to be on an "above average" salary to run the things. But if you make it in the job you're in you should be OK there in a few years' time...
PS Also, try to keep your petrolhead dreams economically sound until such a time as you can really blow it. Even relatively "lowly" cars can bankrupt you if you're not careful. So putting up with such a motor as an "interim" could prove costly.

A close relative of mine is a Director at a well known (read huge) bank in the city.
Her advice to me:
"If you want to own a ferrari by the time you're 30 (i'm 19 at uni... meaning 8 years after uni), become a trader."
Keep at it mate.... but i'm hot on your heels
