all parked outside Maranello's server centre.

I just popped in to book my car in for some warranty work and couldn't park until the drivers had them all lined up nicely. I got the impression (i.e. I could be wrong) they were all owned by the same person (not present) and, as a couple of journos were driving, probably brought together for a future article.

Bugatti looked a bit rough. F50 had a hard top - I thought they were all open? I've only ever seen one other, in Italy, sounded fantasitic but it was starting to rain! The Enzo (first I've seen) looked much better in the flesh. Very basic inside with obviously no luggage space (passenger seat and footwell full of kit) but I'd still have one (now which account did I leave that spare half a mil?).

Unfortunately no digital camera with me but quite a few people taking pictures so I'm sure they'll appear soon. One of those few occasions when whatever you arrived in feels like an old banger when you leave...

Cheers

Alex

The Sultan of Brunei had 6 hard top, right hand drive F50s made at £1.3 million each.

Graypaul had one in when I picked my car up, 70 killometres on it, £435k.

Now that's some depreciation.

When I was at the factory last week they were just completing the 100th Enzo, and we spotted a few silver ones which are apparently the 6 he has had even though they are officialy only available in black, red or yellow.

Also saw a well disguised new 456 which rumbled past.

All Ferrari F50's have a removable hard-top.

I saw an F50 outside the casino in Monte Carlo which had a non-removeable hardtop and an air scoop over the roof.

Air scoop over the roof?

Given that the engine cover is clear plastic and flat with air vents in it I'm suprised someone has done that. Unless it was a racing derivative that has been taken back on the road, if it was in Monaco I wouldn't be suprised people there have way too much money and way too little sense.

I don't know how many F50 GT1's were made in total, there's definately one in the States

That's the one, there were planed to be quite a few F50 GT's but I think Ferrari withdrew support. THey had been planned to race in GT racing like the F40's did in the BPR Global Endurance series. Although I think after seeing the Merc CLK GTR and Porsche GT1 Ferrari descreetly pulled out.

Wonder what they are like on the road?

It does still have the detachable roof line behind the side window so it must be all attached inside to the roll cage.

Awesome I'd expect!! It must be along the lines of the Dauer 962 and the road-going GT1 Porsche to drive.

Does anyone know how many there are in Europe?

Wonder who's collection that was then? Sam Li has an F40, F50 and Enzo but I guess his company would do all the work on them....

Oh dear and you can still see the panel gaps for the detachable hard top. Now that would look really weird with no roof
