My 355 (98R) is due soon for an MOT and like a lot of you I have the Tubi system with the Decatted test pipes.

I have read some postings on the cats being bypassed anyway past a certain throttle opening. Would the car pass based on this or would I need to have them refitted (hope not!)

Any suggestions as to a good place to go for MOT. I live in the Bournemouth area.

Their is a bypass valve which comes into efect at about 4K revs. There are 2 smaller cats (called bypass cats! as well as the 2 major ones that are bypassed.

You will NOT pass the mot unless you can find a friendly garage!! note that you loose torque when you remove the cats and in some situations the engine runs out of configuration especially with OBD2
