550 a great car.

Cant agree with the earlier comment about a Tubi exhaust though!

to me it ruins the character of the car

and be prepared for very heavy depreciation same if not worse than DB7

clearly each to their own opinion of course,,,but a ferrari V12 through a Tubi genuinely did sound amazing and it was interesting to see the instant smiles appear on the faces of those within earshot.
curiously the thought that the character of the car in question being compromised was a little far away from our thoughts at the time!

I for one agree with you. Frosties car sounds genuinely amazing. The car wears it's 'harder edged' aura well IMO. Quite a few 550 owners have gone the same route as Frostie having heard his car too.

Just too big and heavy and full of Ford bits.

What, as opposed to Fiat bits?

Ferrari's are sold as sports cars so you can forgive a few low grade bits (although the latest models are ok)

Astons are marketed as luxury GT's and as a luxury car they fall a bit below par

Not being funny but TVRs are sports cars and everyone moans at them even though their switchgear is the best.

PS. If I am paying £150,000 I don't want ANY cheap parts!

Went to look at a 2002 car with 600 miles on it yesterday -

It was immaculate as you'd expect and have dropped a nice £50k in value over 12 months.

Dealer said with 15,000 miles and another 12 months it would drop a further £50k (retail offer next year of £70k).

S O -

Sticking with lovely Turbo that does everything, fitting the aero kit & some nice TASTEFUL 19" wheels.

Watch this space - the 575 is a truly beautiful looking car.

My dealer said a similar thing to me a while back. Wait 'till 2004 and the prices of 575's should go below the £100K mark.

Basically let the rich guys take the hit and the enthusiast's get the bargains a few years down the line
