RE: Ferrari Scaglietti
Discussion
Mmmm.
Does'nt exactly get the juices flowing does it?
Would a teenage boy put a poster of this on his wall? Methinks not..
With the 997 Porsche rumoured to be quite aggressively styled, and with Lambo's morphing into Audi's, I am beginning to worry.
Where has the Italian gorgeousness gone?

I've been looking forward to seeing this car for a long time and have to admit that I too am disappointed. It's a shame because the grey artists impressions which were circulating a few months ago made it look fantastic and a stlye rival to DB7!
I just hope that like any other Ferrari it looks twice the car in the flesh to what it does in a photo

I'm not going to pass judgement until I see one in the metal, but blimey, is that thing sitting on 13" rims?
Bigger wheels and a reduction in ground clearance should do the trick. Just look at the sketches released a few months back to see what I mean.
The 550 got some serious flack when that came out, but now no-one seems offended by it. Give it time, I bet it's a "grower".

Poor choice of names IMHO.
In the US a "scag" is a rather unattractive female of negotiable morals. Not great for the marketing boffins to deal with...
...Also, the official "death" of the Esprit is 2004. The last 33 US spec models are being cobbled together as we speak...

Well the Amercians can't even say route, buoy, schedule or aluminium properly so I'll doubt they'll use the word Scaglietti.
Beside, it's not a scag it's a Scaglietti. Maybe we should change the name of our boys on the beat because in england it's what you call three day growth in the ladies nether regions?
I shall reserve judgement until Wilmslow's finest have readjusted their golden finery accordingly.
I'm sure it will have a certain je ne sais quois i'the metal and let's be glad of at least one salient point - it's appears resolutely NOT to be a produit di Fishpantata...
Rock & roll ain't noise pollution.

Well, as soon as this thing lands on the shores of North America some "magazine writer", who thinks he is witty (and most are not), will shorten the name. It's inevitable. Half of the petrolheads in the US are still stuggling with Murcielago (simply calling it "the Diablo replacement") and Gallardo (my nieghbor="Gal a doe" (emphasise on last syllable)
