Are Maranello's prices getting reasonable

When I lived local and was shopping around for a 3200, or possibly a 456/550, I found Maranello's prices to be pretty high and their px's well off the pace. However, the prices don't seem too bad now; eg, £51k for a 5 mth old Maser Spyder (nice colour combi) and £65k for an 01Y 456 with the hard to find manual box.
Are Maranello's now much more reasonable or am I just out of touch with how much the top end market is suffering (Tom Hartley not buying much at the moment).
PS What are their px prices like these days?

I think you're right Andrew. They used to be easily 10% or so more than the equivalent car elsewhere, but it doesn't look that clear cut any more. From this: www.ferrari-uk.com/frameworks/locator/index.asp I'd still say they are in the upper quartile, but it's a close call.

Certainly seem to be getting more reasonable over the last 12 months or so. (Hence me buying my car there!)
Whether this is due to market conditions generally, or whether they are trying to consciously realign their prices in relation to their competitors out there I'm not sure.
However, worth remembering that people can and do make substantial savings over list price from main dealers, some of the 3rd parties out there are much less flexible on price, but then their prices are lower to start with.

I'm glad I don't live local anymore as both cars I mention would tempt me. Still I have bought too many cars this year (five so far!(two of them sold mind you)) so I think a fallow period is called for.
The sticker prices up in here in Scotland for Ferrari/Maserati are pretty high which helps me keep my wallet in my pocket!

I think Ferrari are quietly starting a policy to sell their car virtually direct. Maranello have bought HR Owens in St Albans, they are opening in Sevenoaks, which means they have most of the Home Counties sown up. I also noticed that Ferrari had bought the Pozzi chain in France which owns 16 Ferrari / Maserati Dealerships.
Pure speculation but is there a pattern to this if so the reduce prices and make other dealerships suffer would make some commercial sense thus making them ripe for takeover in the future!
