Oh yes that. That has been explained to death over the last 4 years. If you do various forum searches you will see. The story is not what you think..
EDIT:: You know i have had another look but i cant for the life of me find the allegations you say are on this thread. Can you please link them for me?

No koolchris99. The allegations ferrarispider mentions are in relation to the post made by johnny5 about Amari's alleged past. I have made no comment reference that. Only edited that post, like this, to add in a point. Do keep up old chap smile

Lots of people assume that he has a showroom full of stock, so he must be doing something right. Well, yes and no. Mr Amari seemingly has something greater than any other UK Lambo/Supercar dealer right now - buying power. A couple of pals who tried to sell their supercars for cash to the trade in the past 12 months said the best cash offers for an outright sale always came from one company: Amari. However, based on his reputation they chose not to deal.

He has tons of Lambos for sale because he is based in a part of the world where there is Lamborghini Manchester down the road and more recession hit property developers with Gallardos needing cash floating around than I've had hot dinners. Also, if you're a Lambo dealer with a client needing a trade in and the car falls outside your parameters, Amari will no doubt be waiting with the readies to facilitate the deal. Conversely, guys like Verdi, Macari, etc are all SOR merchants - no good to owners/main delaers needing a cash deal. Right now, it's open season for Amari and his cheque book. So, Amari has the stock. But does he have the customer service? There are guys who have dealt with Amari with no issues I am sure. However, neither myself nor my friends are prepared to take the risk, sorry.

And to the poster who said, "just PPI the car, do the various checks, pay the money and drive away". Erm yeah, not always that easy in Supercar World. Remember Richard Lukins? Selling Hpi clear, clean, SOR cars, and then not paying the owner their cut. Nasty...

All our Lamborghini's are inspected by Lamborghini Manchester, Birmingham & London, before each car is sold it is serviced by Lambo Manchester, and all work is carried out, we even give the customer the option to call Lambo Mc to make sure the work is all done. If we are selling a car on behalf of a client and if it has finance outstanding, it is always settled by us before the new keeper take delivery with a settlement letter. We MOT every car for 12 months regardless of when it was first MOT'd, and Tax it for 6 months & finally a six month warranty By WMS. This also gose for all our other super cars too.

That is why we have such a great turnover with lamborghini's and other vehicle's

thanks
Amari
With respect, I was not discussing the quality of your stock. Okay, stock is serviced and Mot'd. Thanks for sharing that. That merely backs up my point that you tend to buy many of your cars outright. And as regards dodgy SOR scams I was making a general broader point by mentioning Richard Lukins, a known offender.

the term sheikh is used very freely,

is doesnt not have to be someone royal, or head of a tribe, it can simply mean as much as a powerful business man or someone of rich social status..
which given the cash amari looks to have i think he would fall under the rich catagory?
but who knows, maybe he is a tribe leader, or even a royal..

i know my fair share or arab royals, I lived with one for a while, but i also know many sheihks who arnt.

Surely, the term is used by Arabs. As opposed to Asians?

Actually no...

"In South Asia, such as pakistan, Bangladesh and India, "Sheikh" is a common surname among direct descendants of the royal Mughul Empire, or more generally, it signifies Arab or Persian ancestry. Although there are countless individuals who share the surname, most are considered to have been from royalty; most specifically Mughul Empire." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sheikh

I have no interest in Mr Amari's past whatsoever. If you read my posts, they will back that up. Everyone makes mistakes, and I am sure he has made his fair share. What I would have a problem with is if he or anyone had changed their name, legally/otherwise, to something that is deliberately designed to allude to being of Royal descent. That would be incredibly foolish and bad business practise, if true... IMHO.

Maybe he's got ideas about running for parliment for the monster raving loonies, its been done before Screaming Lord Sutch changed his name by deed poll to Lord David Sutch smile

Must be something in the water as theres a dodgy dealer near me who keeps trying to tell people he's a Lord hehe the only problem is everybody knows the title he claims to have belongs to the son of the Duke of Somerset!

Just checked this with my wife, who has read James Khan's book, and she tells me that he has never denied his ancestry or country of origin, when asked. And he certainly didn't trade under an English name "as he thought people would trust him better".

its not a status thing, you cant lose it as you dont need anything to get it back?
you just call yourself it
